We have posted the first episode of our Greyhill Incident playthrough on The Mitchery’s YouTube channel, and it is called “The Aliens Are HERE and They Want Me | Greyhill Incident – Part 1.” The capital letters in that title are written that way by the creator, meant to show the urgency Ryan feels. We play as Ryan Baker, an ordinary man whose quiet 1990s American neighborhood has been taken over by Grey aliens.
What The Video Covers
The premise is plain. Ryan lives in a quiet American neighborhood. That neighborhood is now full of Grey aliens, and nobody outside town believes what is happening there. The video follows Ryan as he tries to understand what is going on around him.
What Ryan Carries
Ryan’s means of getting through the night are few. He carries a lamp and a baseball bat, and, by our own account, a habit of poor conduct. There is no large store of arms here, just a man trying to cross his own backyard without being caught.
Moving Through Backyards
Much of the episode has Ryan moving low through backyards, keeping clear of UFOs above him. The Greys are the near threat, and the UFOs remain a steady presence in the sky over Greyhill. Part of what draws the viewer forward is not knowing what these aliens want from Ryan or from the town.
That question — what the Greys want — carries the whole episode forward.
The Mitchery’s Titles
This is our channel’s newest upload in the Greyhill Incident series, marked under Horror and Gameplay. We had a few other titles in mind for this episode, including “Abducted in My Own Backyard | Greyhill Incident,” “This Alien Horror Game Had Me SCREAMING | Greyhill Incident,” and “The Greys Have Invaded and I’m Not Ready | Greyhill Incident – Part 1.”
The word SCREAMING in that second title is written in capitals by the creator, to show how loud and startled the reaction gets. Each of those titles points to the same fear the episode is trying to show.
We settled on “The Aliens Are HERE and They Want Me” for this first part. That title is meant to state plainly the situation Ryan faces, rather than describe it in general terms.
Music for the episode comes from Mitchell Clay by way of Clayhouse Records, the same pairing behind our other uploads.
Who Should Watch
Anyone drawn to alien stories set in an ordinary American neighborhood, or to horror games formed around quiet dread rather than open fighting, should find something here. Those who follow the channel already know our habit of reacting honestly to bad situations and worse conduct, and that habit is on display again in this episode. Viewers who prefer a story that unfolds step by step, rather than one that rushes to its answer, are the right audience for this kind of playthrough.
We are not giving away what Ryan learns about the Greys, or whether the UFOs come nearer to him before the episode ends. The description promises he will learn what “these little grey freaks actually want,” but that answer, if it arrives, belongs to Ryan on screen, not to us here.
