Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are on the road with Wu-Tang Clan, but they are not all there. Layzie Bone and Bizzy Bone are missing from the tour, and both have now spoken out in new videos. Krayzie Bone has also responded with his own account of what happened.
The group received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in July. They were then announced as the support act for Wu-Tang Clan’s farewell tour, which began last month. But the stage has featured only some of the five members.
Layzie Bone Says He Was Left In The Dark
Layzie Bone posted on Instagram over the weekend. He said he had been “left in the dark” about the tour. He began by paying respect to Wu-Tang and Live Nation before addressing the messages he had received from fans.
He said fans had been “cussing me out” and blaming him for his absence. He made clear the decision was not his. “It was no call of mine for me not to be there,” he said, but added that he “had some issues with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony earlier this year.”
He pointed to the Hollywood event as a turning point. “I wasn’t on some shows, and people who went to the shows earlier saw that I wasn’t there,” he continued. “But I thought and my understanding was after the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, everything was all good. It was another reason after another reason, which I’m going to let them answer.”
Krayzie Bone Offers His Version
Krayzie Bone posted videos to Instagram today. He said the matter was personal and should have stayed between the group. But he decided to respond because Layzie Bone had made it public.
He said the group had made an offer to Layzie Bone. “We had an agreement with you. We told you if you go to rehab, while you’re still in rehab, we will still pay you while you’re getting yourself together. We told you that. You refused,” he said. “So no, we didn’t just leave you out in the cold. We told you what it was. And we told you that we still had your money waiting for you.”
Krayzie Bone did not say what the money was worth or when it would be paid. He did not give a reason for the refusal.
Bizzy Bone Hits Back At Haters
Bizzy Bone posted a YouTube video with his own account. He said he heard about the Wu-Tang tour late. By the time he found out, “everything was signed, sealed, and delivered.”
He still backed the group. “But I’m still rooting them on,” he said, encouraging fans to support them. He also turned his attention to hate he received from a Facebook group.
“One of ’em said, it’s crazy, it said, ‘I hope Bizzy Bone go broke, so he can come back, crawling on his hands and his knees,'” he said. “Hey, first and foremost, I ain’t gonna never go broke. What is you talking about?”
He said the hate does not hurt his income. “I’m still getting money off the music that y’all listening to, whether you like me or not,” he added. “You can fast-forward my part. I’m still getting the money, so it really don’t matter. So, you can hate me all you want. God bless you. God bless your heart… I’m still eating, I’m still getting paid.”
This is not the first time the group has played a reduced lineup. In March, they did a show in Plano, TX with just Flesh-n-Bone and Wish Bone. The current tour has also gone ahead without the two members.
