Karol G, Rosalia, Jorge Drexler and Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso All Land Seven Latin Grammy Nominations

The Latin Grammy nominations for 2026 are in, and four artists are tied for the lead with seven nods each. Karol G, Rosalia, Jorge Drexler and Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso all landed seven nominations apiece, splitting the top spot among performers.

The tie for the lead means no single act walks away with the most nominations in the performer category. That distinction goes to Edgar Barrera, the perennial hitmaker who also works behind the scenes. Including non-performing producers and songwriters, Barrera was the top nominee overall with 10.

The Seven-Nomination Ties

Karol G is tied for the lead with seven nominations, and she appears in the major three categories: record of the year, album of the year and song of the year. She made history earlier this year as the first Latina artist to headline Coachella, and now she brings that momentum into the awards process.

Her record of the year nomination comes from “Coleccionando Heridas,” the track that made history at Coachella. Album of the year honors go to her project Tropicoqueta. Rosalia follows the same pattern, with “La Perla” up for record and song of the year and her acclaimed album Lux up for album.

Jorge Drexler, the 16-time Latin Grammy winner, is tied with seven nominations as well. His record of the year and song of the year bids come from “¿Cómo se ama?” His album bid is for Taracá. Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso round out the group, earning seven nominations including album of the year for Free Spirits, record of the year for “Ha Ha” and song of the year for “Hasta Jesus Tuvo Un Mal Dia.”

The Album Race

The album of the year field is crowded, and it runs deep. Outside the four leading acts, the rest of this year’s race includes:

1. Anitta’s Equilibrium
2. Silvana Estrada’s Vendrán Suaves Lluvias
3. Mon Laferte’s Femme Fatale
4. Carin Leon’s Muda
5. Milo J’s La Vida Era Más Corta
6. Rawayana’s ¿Dónde Es El After?

Estrada and Laferte both earned six nominations, while Milo J got five.

Record and Song of the Year

The record of the year field features a mix of solo tracks and collaborations. The full list includes:

• Loulu Gilberto’s “O Amor Nos Encontrou”
• Laferte’s “Femme Fatale”
• Laferte’s “Desde Que Te Tengo”
• Milo’s “Niño”
• Elena Rose’s “Alma”

For song of the year, the other nominees are “Dime,” “Femme Fatale,” Juanes and Vivir Quintana’s “Humano,” Santana and Becky G’s “Mi Gran Amor,” Zanna’s “Nilo” and Milo’s “Solifican12.”

Best New Artist Class

The general categories include a best new artist class made up of 11 artists. The list reads: Delilah, Fabian, Loulu Gilberto, Arath Herce, Macario Martínez, maye, Sofia Monroy, Kendall Peña, Dora Sanches, Aria Vega and Zeca Veloso.

Manuel Abud, CEO of The Latin Recording Academy, commented on the nominations in a statement released on Wednesday.

“We are honored to present this year’s nominees for the 27th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards,” he said. “These artists reflect the extraordinary diversity and constant evolution of Latin music, and our Academy continues to evolve in response to this dynamic, creative landscape. At the heart of our Awards Process are our members, whose participation and expertise ensure that the Latin GRAMMY remains the benchmark for excellence in Latin music.”

Voting Timeline

Voting begins on October 1. The awards themselves will take place at the MGM Garden Grand Garden Arena on November 12, airing on Univision.

The four-way tie at the top creates a wide-open night for the major categories. With Karol G, Rosalia, Drexler and Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso all holding the same number of nominations, the evening could see a close contest in the big three.
