Final Fantasy VII Revelation
Square Enix showed off more of Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the final chapter in its ambitious remake project. The game focuses on the climax of Cloud and crew’s journey to take down Sephiroth and save the world.
The full party finally comes together, giving Cid and Vincent their time to shine. The open world has also been expanded, with players getting full control over which activities to take on and which locations to visit.
“Revelation is shaping up to be a conclusion that will make the 11-year wait for the full Final Fantasy VII Remake worth it,” the preview reads. The game is set for release on April 8, 2027.
Dungeon Lurker
13AM Games is leaning into nostalgia with Dungeon Lurker, a PS1-style action-RPG with a haunted twist. Players take on the role of an unknown person revisiting a recently passed friend’s favorite game.
The dungeon-crawling adventure tasks players with powering up a hero and earning new skills. But as you dive deeper and read the friend’s notes written into the game’s manual, it becomes clear the game itself might be haunted.
“It’s equal parts a legit dungeon-crawler beat-em-up, a throwback to classic 3D action games, and a dash of a supernatural horror game,” the preview states. The game has no release date yet.
War of the Western Deep
The creators of the Beyond the Western Deep comic series have teamed up with developer Sungrove Studios for the franchise’s first video game. War of the Western Deep plays like classic 2D adventure games such as King’s Quest and The Secret of Monkey Island.
Players guide Mirren through enemy territory, fighting bandits and invading northerners to return to the kingdom of Sungrove. The hand-crafted animation draws from Disney’s Robin Hood and classic Don Bluth films.
“War of the Western Deep was one of the most impressive 2D games at PAX West,” the preview says. The game has no release date yet.
Persona 4 Revival
Atlus is bringing back one of its most beloved games with Persona 4 Revival, due out February 17, 2026. The remake follows the pattern set by Persona 3 Reload, giving the original’s demon-slaying high school story a modern update.
New combat mechanics include the Primetime ability, which lets players strategically tear through demons with the squad. The remake also features more expressive character action and a higher energy tone.
“Revival is shaping up to not only be a great way for fans to dive back into the world of P4, but also to give newcomers a chance to see why the Atlus RPG is one of the greats,” the preview reads.
Remaining Grace
Ambedo Studios is telling a different kind of detective story with Remaining Grace. The ghost-detective game follows Grace Tao as she investigates the mystery of her own death three years after the fact.
Using ghost powers to imprint onto objects and people, Grace pieces together the timeline of her death. Along the way, she learns how her family and closest friends have tried to move on.
“Remaining Grace was the most emotionally rich and captivating game I played at PAX West 2026,” the preview says. The game has no release date yet.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World
The Dragon Quest Monsters series continues with The Withered World, developed by Square Enix and TOSE CO., LTD. The game is set for release on December 3, 2026.
