“The Shards” Season 1 ends Sept. 9, 2026. The ninth and final episode of the Ryan Murphy-directed FX series hits Hulu at 9 p.m. ET.

Igby Rigney stars as 17-year-old Bret Easton Ellis. Homer Gere, Graham Campbell, Hayes Warner, Wes Bentley and Kaia Gerber round out the rest of the main cast.
The Gerber-Gere connection
Gerber and Gere have been giving fans flashbacks to another era throughout the retro series’ press tour. Homer’s dad Richard Gere and Kaia’s mom Cindy Crawford were married from 1991 to 1995.
Gerber has praised her co-star in interviews. “He’s such a wonderful actor. I mean, my god. This was his second thing that he ever did,” she told the Associated Press.
“He has this confidence and this charisma. He’s so magnetic to watch … He’s also just a really great guy.”
