Fatboy Slim is heading to Australia. Norman Cook’s dancefloor alter ego will play seven dates across Fremantle, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne in March 2027.
The tour includes a three-night stand at Carriageworks in Sydney. Cook says the shows will take place in “more personal,” underground and urban outdoor spaces.
“For this tour to Australia I wanted to get up close with my people, play venues with real atmosphere and have a proper party,” he says in a statement. “Bridges, rivers, parks, old railway sheds – if it’s a bit weird and the sound system’s loud enough, I’m there.”
The Setlist and the Venues
Fans can expect hits like “Right Here Right Now,” “Praise You” and “Weapon of Choice.” Cook will also play recent releases including “Satisfaction Skank,” a mash-up of his own “The Rockafeller Skank” and The Rolling Stones’ “Satisfaction,” plus his current single “Funk Drunk” with Brazilian DJ Carola and Felix Da Housecat.
The venue list leans into the unusual. The run opens at Esplanade Park in Fremantle, moves to Carriageworks for three nights, then hits On The Banks in Brisbane and The Underpass in Melbourne for two shows.
A Big Year and a Big Anniversary
Fatboy Slim has had a busy stretch. He played Coachella, did four nights at his local Brighton Beach, and closed out Rock in Rio in Brazil.
His debut album Better Living Through Chemistry is turning 30. To mark the occasion, the collection gets a digital reissue on Sept. 25 via BMG, with special-edition LP and CD editions following on Oct. 2.
The follow-up, 1998’s You’ve Come A Long Way Baby, spent four weeks at No. 1 in the United Kingdom and cemented his reputation in electronic music.
