Metallica have added a fifth year to their M72 World Tour, and the 2027 North American leg hits 12 stadiums from Vancouver to Salt Lake City. The run extends the band’s touring into a fifth year after the original run appeared to wrap up this past July.
The tour kicks off May 8th in Vancouver at BC Place. It stops at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Alamodome in San Antonio, Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh, Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, and Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland before wrapping up June 19th in Salt Lake City at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
The M72 Run Stays Alive
Metallica launched the M72 World Tour in 2023 to support their album 72 Seasons. The tour appeared to end this past July, but now it runs into a fifth year. Unlike earlier “M72” dates, which often featured two-night “No Repeat Weekends” in one city, the 2027 shows are single nights.
The 2027 dates follow Metallica’s “Life Burns Faster” residency at Las Vegas’ Sphere, which runs from October 2026 to March 2027.
How to Get the Tickets
Tickets start with Metallica’s Fan Club pre-sale on Monday, September 21st, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Citi cardmembers and Verizon customers through its Verizon Shine loyalty program get their own pre-sales beginning September 22nd at 10:00 a.m.
The public ticket on-sale opens Friday, September 25th at 10:00 a.m. via Ticketmaster. Fans can also look for deals or get tickets to sold-out shows via Vivid Seats, with new customers saving $20 off their first order of $200 or more using the code COS20.
Limp Bizkit and Avatar Join the Shows
Nu-metal veterans Limp Bizkit and the theatrical Swedish metal band Avatar are supporting all 12 dates on the 2027 US outing.
