Justin Bieber’s Swag II is a 44-track mission statement disguised as a pop album. Released in 2025, it follows the first Swag record and runs across its full track list. The goal is simple: Bieber wants to fill a record with hooks, sex, and faith without repeating himself. He mostly fails.
The album is a whole lotta less of the same.
Opening With SPEED DEMON
The record starts with “SPEED DEMON,” a track built for radio play. It sets the tone: fast, repetitive, and aimed at the top of the charts. “BETTER MAN” and “LOVE SONG” follow at similar length, both small and forgettable. “I DO” stretches to 3:44, the longest track in the early stretch, but it doesn’t leave much of a mark.
“I THINK YOU’RE SPECIAL” is pleasant enough, a quick filler before “MOTHER IN YOU” brings some weight to the mix. “WITCHYA” and “EYE CANDY” return to the lighter side of the record, brief and easy to skip over. “DON’T WANNA” and “BAD HONEY” keep the pace steady, though neither earns a second listen.
Then comes “NEED IT.” This is the first real standout, a track that finally breaks through the haze with a melody worth remembering.
Poppin My Sh** And The Middle Stretch
“Poppin’ My S***” is the album’s best moment. It’s short, direct, and the one track that actually feels new. “ALL THE WAY” and “PETTING ZOO” don’t quite reach that height, but they keep the energy moving. “MOVING FAST” and “SAFE SPACE” are solid if unremarkable, while “LYIN'” and “DOTTED LINE” fade back into the background.
“OPEN UP YOUR HEART” and “WHEN IT’S OVER” pass by without much fuss. Then comes “EVERYTHING HALLELUJAH,” the second standout of the record, a longer, more ambitious track that shows off a range Bieber hasn’t always bothered with.
“STORY OF GOD” runs long, a slow-burning centerpiece that builds toward something bigger. “ALL I CAN TAKE” follows, a shorter, tighter version of the same idea. “DAISIES” and “YUKON” return to the shorter, easier listening that defines most of the record.
The Back Half
“GO BABY” and “THINGS YOU DO” are brief, almost throwaway tracks. “BUTTERFLIES” and “WAY IT IS” add a touch of personality, but nothing that changes the shape of the album. “FIRST PLACE” closes this stretch with a stronger hook than most of what surrounds it.
“Soulful” runs just 0:37, the shortest track on the album, a fragment rather than a song. “WALKING AWAY” and “GLORY VOICE MEMO” are quiet, transitional pieces. “DEVOTION” picks the pace back up, followed by “DADZ LOVE,” a track that leans on its title rather than its sound.
“THERAPY SESSION” is a short, strange detour. “SWEET SPOT” and “STANDING ON BUSINESS” are brief, almost like sketches rather than finished songs. “405” brings some energy back before the final stretch.
The Closing Run
“SWAG” is a short, direct track that returns to the album’s title. “ZUMA HOUSE” and “TOO LONG” are both short and slight, barely registering. The album ends with “FORGIVENESS,” a brief, soft closer that doesn’t leave much of an impression.

What Works, What Doesn’t
The highlights are real. “NEED IT” and “Poppin’ My S***” are the clearest proof that Bieber can still write a hook. “EVERYTHING HALLELUJAH” and “STORY OF GOD” show ambition beyond the usual pop formula. The problem is that those moments are surrounded by forty tracks that don’t rise to meet them.
The album’s length works against it. Forty-four tracks is too much to hold together, and the filler tracks — “THINGS YOU DO,” “STANDING ON BUSINESS,” “405” — are easy to forget. The shorter, fragmentary tracks like “Soulful” and “GLORY VOICE MEMO” break the flow without adding much value.
Bieber is capable of more. That’s the clearest takeaway from this record. The hooks are there, the ambition is there, and the talent is there. But the sequencing, the pacing, and the sheer volume of material get in the way of the good work.
This is a record that could have been two-thirds of its size and twice as effective. As it stands, Swag II is a mixed bag with a handful of hits buried under a mountain of filler. It’s not a failure, but it’s not a step forward either.
