Slow Horses Season 6 Arrives on Apple TV
This weekend marks the return of Slow Horses for its sixth season. The series draws from the novels by Mick Herron and centers on the agents at Slough House, an MI5 unit where those who have been disgraced and found wanting are exiled. Gary Oldman, Jack Lowden, and Kristin Scott Thomas lead the cast.
This season finds the team fleeing from a person who is systematically hunting them down and taking them out one at a time. Since its premiere on Apple TV in 2022, the show has been one of the most consistently excellent series on streaming, per Polygon‘s coverage.

Frances Neagley is the star of Neagley, which grew out of Reacher, one of the biggest streaming hits of the past couple of years. Alan Ritchson plays her, a former soldier turned private investigator whose work has made her a favorite of fans of the original show. When her childhood friend dies, she begins investigating the circumstances, eventually finding herself caught up in a complicated conspiracy.
Neagley is the focus of the show, and she spent season 4 of Reacher battling a high-stakes conspiracy across Philadelphia while she was conspicuously absent. The reason for her absence was laid out as setting up her own solo operation. She is a fierce former Master Sergeant from the 110th MP Special Investigations Unit who turned into a corporate PI, and she has always been the smartest person in Jack’s orbit.
She emerges from beneath his towering presence when a suspicious death from her past drags her into a deadly contest of her own making. The series comprises eight episodes.
Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story Lands on Netflix
Monster’s fourth season turns to a real-life horror case for its inspiration. Ryan Murphy’s anthology series sets its tale in the 1800s, telling the true story of Lizzie Borden. She was found not guilty after she reportedly joined forces with her maid to kill her parents using an axe.
Netflix hosts this season, which runs eight episodes long, starring Ella Beatty, Vicky Krieps, and Charlie Hunnam.
City of Blood Streams on Disney+
A German series called City of Blood takes place in a Berlin after the world has ended. Inside the city sits a climate-controlled dome where the wealthy dwell in comfort, while everyone else is left outside to fend for themselves. The show centers on two sisters who reunite and learn that vampires are plotting to seize control and make humans submit to them.
Disney+ has added eight episodes of a new show starring Lea Drinda, Bea Hoffman, and Soma Pysall.
Stranger Things Tales from ’85 Debuts on Netflix
Between seasons 2 and 3 of the live-action Stranger Things, the stories in Tales from ’85’ take place during a cold season in Hawkins. The tales follow Eleven and her friends as they face lingering threats from the Upside Down while also joining forces with fresh allies.
Three young actors carry an animated series: Brooklyn Davey Norstedt, Elisha Williams, and Braxton Quinney. The show runs ten episodes long.
Plastic Beauty Streams on Netflix
The newest Japanese show from Netflix takes place within the realm of plastic surgery. It centers on competing doctors who hold opposite opinions on bodily change, and several of its episodes ask why patients pursue such procedures.
Eight episodes make up the series, with Mayu Matsuoka, Riisa Naka, and Shotaro Mamiya among the performers who appear within it.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood Premieres on Starz
This spinoff of the romantic-historical hit Outlander traces the love story of its main characters’ parents. The series spans two timelines: one set in 18th-century Scotland and the other during World War I. It follows forbidden romances among warring clans and the ruin brought about by the war.
Hermione Corfield, Harriet Slater, and Jamie Roy make up the cast of the series, which is made up of ten episodes.
Youth Premieres on HBO
The newest HBO comedy drama centers on a 50-year-old literary agent and divorcee played by Sharon Horgan, who is trying to find love in London. The cast also includes Rupert Friend and Sharlene Whyte.
