Yugi’s Magnet Warriors and Kaiba’s Dragon Buster return as two new Structure Decks

Konami is reprinting the Magnet Warriors and XYZ-Dragon Cannon with new mechanics in a region-exclusive Structure Deck set.

Two duelists face off with mechanical warrior cards in a trading card game display.

Yu-Gi-Oh! is getting two new Structure Decks, and they both do the same clever thing: they take old archetypes and rebuild them with fresh mechanical combinations. The release is set for December 10, 2026, and the European version of yugioh-card.com has posted the details first.

The two decks are Structure Deck: Yugi Muto and Structure Deck: Seto Kaiba. Each one refits a classic strategy for the modern era of Dueling. The catch is that the reprints appear to be regionally exclusive to Europe, at least for now.

The Yugi Deck’s Electromagnet Refit

The Yugi Deck takes the Magnet Warriors and turns them into new Electromagnet Warriors. These new cards attract each other from the hand, Deck, and Graveyard, which means players can pull related cards from those zones to build plays. The centerpiece is Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior, a powerful Synchro monster that combines the Electromagnet Warriors into one unit.

But the real trick comes when you pair these new cards with the original Valkyrion the Magna Warrior, which is also included in the Deck. Together, they Summon Imperion Magnum the Superconductive Battlebot. Imperion Magnum clocks in at 4000 ATK, which is a serious offensive stat, and it carries a defensive ability too — it can negate your opponent’s Spell Card, Trap Card, or monster effect.

That combination of attack power and effect negation makes Imperion Magnum a strong threat on the field. The deck also includes foiled versions of the Electromagnet Warriors, which gives collectors a reason to look closer at the product beyond the play value.

The Kaiba Deck’s Union Upgrade

The Kaiba Deck takes a different approach. It revamps the original XYZ-Dragon Cannon Union strategy and introduces three new combining mechanized Union monsters: A-Assault Core, B-Buster Drake, and C-Crush Wyvern. Each of these new monsters has its own Union abilities and extra effects, and the design encourages players to assemble all three on the field.

When you get all three out, you can combine them to form ABC-Dragon Buster, a mechanized war machine. ABC-Dragon Buster has a powerful ability — it can banish any card on the field during either player’s turn. That kind of flexibility is rare, since most effects target specific card types or conditions.

The Kaiba Deck also includes a first-time reprint of “A-to-Z-Dragon Buster Cannon,” though the source notes that all of its other cards have been reprinted in some form before. So the Kaiba Deck offers a mix of familiar faces and brand-new options for players who want to rebuild an old favorite.

What’s In Each Deck

Both Structure Decks follow the same configuration. Each contains 40 Common Cards, 3 Super Rare Cards, and 2 Ultra Rare Cards. They also include a Dueling Guide, a Rulebook, and a Deluxe Game Mat. The full package is designed to be a complete entry point for new players or a convenient box for seasoned duelists who want to try these strategies.

The decks are sold as individual units, but they are bundled together in the announcement. The configuration is consistent across both:

  1. 40 Common Cards
  2. 3 Super Rare Cards
  3. 2 Ultra Rare Cards
  4. 1 Dueling Guide
  5. 1 Rulebook
  6. 1 Deluxe Game Mat

Each Deck contains 45 cards. Eight Decks fit into a Display Box, and 12 Display Boxes fill a Case. The name, design, and contents are all subject to change before the final release.

The Region Question

The announcement is posted on the European version of yugioh-card.com, which suggests these reprinted products are for Europe only. There is no confirmation yet about whether the decks will see release outside that region. Players outside Europe will need to wait for official announcements from Konami to know if these sets arrive in other markets.

For now, the European Duelist has a clear path to these cards. The release date is set for December 10, 2026.

Comparing the Two Decks

The two Decks share a structural similarity: they both take an existing archetype and give it new mechanical legs. The Yugi Deck’s Synchro focus builds toward a single high-ATK monster with a defensive trigger. The Kaiba Deck’s Union focus builds toward a field of three monsters that combine into a single effect.

The Yugi Deck leans into the ATK stat, with Imperion Magnum sitting at 4000 ATK and a negation effect attached. The Kaiba Deck leans into the field presence, with ABC-Dragon Buster able to banish any card on the field. Both Decks offer something distinct, and players who enjoy either Yugi’s or Kaiba’s style will find reasons to pick one over the other.

The Value Proposition

For players who have been waiting to get their hands on these cards again, the reprints are the draw. The Yugi Deck provides a first-time reprint of “Imperion Magnum the Superconductive Battlebot” and “Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior,” along with foiled versions of the Electromagnet Warriors. The Kaiba Deck provides a first-time reprint of “A-to-Z-Dragon Buster Cannon,” even though its other cards have appeared elsewhere.

The inclusion of the Dueling Guide, Rulebook, and Deluxe Game Mat is standard for Structure Decks, but it still makes the package feel complete. New players can jump in without needing to buy separate guides or mats, and experienced players get a fresh set of cards to test.

What We Know So Far

The announcement is based on the European version of yugioh-card.com, and the region-specific nature of the release is noted explicitly. The release date is confirmed, the configurations are detailed, and the cards themselves are described in enough detail to understand what they do.

The European Duelist has the clearest information. The non-European Duelist waits for further word on regional availability. The decks are a reminder that Yu-Gi-Oh! continues to mine its own history for new ideas, and these two Decks show how far the game has come since the original Magnet Warriors and XYZ-Dragon Cannon were first introduced.

Our View

This is a clever move by Konami. Rather than simply reprinting old cards, they have rebuilt the archetypes with new mechanics that reward players who understand the underlying design. The Yugi Deck’s Synchro chain and the Kaiba Deck’s Union chain both offer distinct paths to victory.

The 4000 ATK stat on Imperion Magnum is a standout, and the ability to banish any card on the field with ABC-Dragon Buster is a flexible tool. Between the two Decks, players get a range of strategies that reward different playstyles.

The region question remains open. For now, the European Duelist has the clearest path forward, while the rest of the world waits for official word on whether these Decks come to their own stores.

The decks are out on December 10, 2026, and the European Duelist has the first look at what they contain.
