Noel Gallagher has made his pick for the standout show of Oasis’ 2025 reunion tour, and it wasn’t in the UK or the US. It was in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where the band played two sold-out nights at Estadio Monumental.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Gallagher singled out the November 16th concert as the best of the entire run. “It’s one of those gigs that none of us will ever forget,” he said. “You had to be there.”
Gallagher’s Pick for Best Gig
Gallagher described the Buenos Aires concerts as the peak of a journey that took him across continents. He did so, “It’s unbelievable when Oasis play Buenos Aires,” included, while complimenting the Argentine crowd and making light of the nations’ football rivalry.
“I know people don’t want to hear it after the World Cup, but those people from that country, in that stadium… they’re heaven-sent people,” he said. The phrase “they’re heaven-sent people” was translated as “Las personas de Argentina son enviadas del cielo” in Spanish.
Across the weekend, roughly 150,000 fans attended the concerts. The band played two sold-out shows at River Plate, with dates falling on November 15th and 16th.
The Crowd That Made It Special
What made these shows stand out was their sheer size, but Gallagher’s remarks point to something else entirely: the audience was what set the night apart.
The man spoke the words “I know people don’t want to hear it after the World Cup, but those people from that country, in that stadium… they’re heaven-sent people,”. The saying “they’re heaven-sent people” came out as “Las personas de Argentina son enviadas del cielo” in Spanish.
Buenos Aires Shows Named First Among Equals
Buenos Aires was the standout show for Gallagher, according to him, even though he admitted Oasis didn’t play “one bad gig” throughout the tour.
He said “I know people don’t want to hear it after the World Cup, but those people from that country, in that stadium… they’re heaven-sent people,”. “It’s unbelievable when Oasis play Buenos Aires.”

What This Means for Fans
The backing Gallagher has given to Buenos Aires matters greatly. His characterisation of the show as something “none of us will ever forget” points to a performance that stuck with him.
That he chose a South American appearance over a European or North American performance demonstrates how warmly he was received in that part of the world.
Fans now know what comes next, with registration opening this week and on-sale windows beginning Friday, September 25th. The “Live ’27” announcement lays out the full sequence of events.
Those who were unable to catch Oasis in Buenos Aires can now set their sights on the remaining dates. The band’s ‘s decision to continue touring means the reunion is far from over, and the “Live ’27” tour is still underway, and it provides plenty of opportunities for fans to see them perform live.
Gallagher’s reference to “heaven-sent people” will not be repeated at this next stop on the tour. The memory of that evening in Buenos Aires, however, is likely to last until Oasis returns to play the city again.
