Saturday Night Live has found its season 52 premiere host, and it’s a surprise pick from the basketball court. The Knicks’ Jalen Brunson will host the show’s opening episode on September 26, with KATSEYE joining as musical guests in their SNL debut.
The announcement came alongside the reveal of the first four hosts and musical acts for the new season. Dakota Johnson, Shane Gillis, and Inde Navarrette are also set to host in the upcoming run.
Brunson’s live comedy test
Brunson arrives with serious hardware. He’s a point guard for the New York Knicks, an NBA champion, and a finals MVP. That resume makes him a marquee name, but SNL has a long history with athletes that doesn’t always go smoothly.
