“P-Valley” is coming back, and this time it’s the end. Starz announced Thursday that Katori Hall’s strip club drama will return for its third and final season with a two-episode premiere on Friday, December 4.
More than four years have passed since the show last aired. The Season 2 finale came on August 14, 2022. Hall has confirmed that Season 3 will bring the series to an end after a total of 27 episodes.
What Hall called “grace, grit and glitter,” she said, is why she ended the show, promising fans a farewell they truly deserve.
The Final Season at the Promised Land
The new season begins with the Promised Land Casino, newly opened, pouring money into the town of Chucalissa. The official logline describes it as a place where “our hometown heroes learn that mo’ money does indeed bring mo’ mayhem.”, a description that fits the story’s opening.
“Dreamers, schemers, ballers, and shot-callers alike come from far and wide for a dance with chance — but are they willing to put their souls on the line for a legendary bag?” the logline continues.
The returning cast features a number of familiar faces, including Nicco Annan as Uncle Clifford, Brandee Evans as Mercedes, Shannon Thornton as Keyshawn, and J. Alphonse Nicholson as Lil’ Murda. Harriett D. Foy returns as Mayor Woodbine, with Dan J. Johnson appearing as Corbin. Gail Bean is back as Roulette, while Psalms Salazar plays Whisper and Morocco Omari portrays Big L. Dominic DeVore reprises his role as Duffy, and Jordan M. Cox takes on the part of Derrick. Thomas Q. Jones appears as Mane, and Bertram Williams Jr. shows up as Woddy. Mea Wilkerson plays Haiku, and Loretta Devine rounds out the group as Ernestine.

Oh, Mary! Comes to HBO
The cable network HBO is set to premiere a filmed adaptation of the Tony- and Olivier-winning play “Oh, Mary!”, with the release scheduled for 2027. The project stars and was written by Cole Escola, who will once again take on the part of Mary Todd Lincoln.
The special was captured during the show’s July 28 performance at the Trafalgar Theatre in London’s West End. The cast also includes Giles Terera as Mary’s Husband, Bianca Leigh as Mary’s Chaperone, Tony Macht as Mary’s Husband’s Assistant, and Michael Urie as Mary’s Teacher.

Netflix, E! and Hulu Set Fall Dates
Several other networks have locked in premiere dates for upcoming shows.
Friday, October 9 is the day Netflix has chosen to launch “Is It Cake? Halloween” Season 2, with Mikey Day serving as host for the three episodes. The season brings together six “wickedly talented hyper-realistic cake artists”, who work on “the largest, spookiest cakes designed to trick celebrity judges.”.

E! has set a Tuesday, October 20 premiere date for “The Golden Life.” The new series reunites “Real Housewives of New York City” veterans Kelly Bensimon, Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, and Ramona Singer.
The series follows “the iconic group of New York snowbirds as they pack their bags and head down south to reconnect in their ‘golden’ era of life.”
“The Mob,” Hulu’s new reality competition series hosted by Parker Posey, will premiere Monday, October 26. The show sends a group of celebrities to a lavish Italian villa, where “they will shake down, hustle and whack their way to win up to $250,000 in cash prizes.”
A powerful don decides which competitors make money, which ones stay, and which ones get eliminated, with challenges drawn from the world of mob movies. The show’s cast runs deep, including Willam Belli, Demi Engemann, Maria Georgas, Joe Gorga, Harry Jowsey, Chelsea Lazkani, Debi Mazar, Bella Palk, Shane Parton, Romeo, Bruno Tonioli, and Aida Turturro.
The Good Daughter Lands at Peacock
Peacock has released a teaser for “The Good Daughter,” a Karin Slaughter adaptation starring Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy. All six episodes drop Thursday, November 12.
