Across the board, Project Hail Mary’s Rocky speaks in a plain, direct manner that sets him apart from the rest of the cast. His question “Time go fishing, question?” arrives after the plan to release a collector into planet Adrian’s atmosphere for new astrophage samples has been set into motion.
Rocky’s question is all kinds of endearing while also proving the trust he and Grace have built as they and the other characters have learned to communicate and work together, even as they prepare for one of the most intense sequences in the entire movie, to save their respective worlds from the organisms eating their suns.
