Paramount+ has another spy thriller on the way, and this one just added a familiar face. Michael Kelly, who you know from Lioness and Jack Ryan, is heading to Landman as a series regular for Season 3. Deadline reports he will play William Crockett, a titan of industry who runs the largest oil management firm in the world.
The news comes as the streamer wraps up a busy stretch. Lioness ended its third season, MobLand returned for a second round of chaos led by Tom Hardy, and Dexter returns on October 30 for Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection. Now Landman fans have a reason to watch the calendar.
What We Know About the Season 3 Renewal
The renewal is confirmed. Based on the show’s overwhelming success, Paramount renewed Landman for a third season in December. That is the easy part.
When Will Season 3 Arrive?
There is no official date. But we have a hint. In late July, James Jordan, who plays Dale on the show, told Decider that production on Season 3 would start in “about a month.”
“I get messages on Instagram every day asking about Landman,” Jordan said. “We know that the audience cannot wait. We’re going to get to work on that and try to get it out as soon as we can.”
Production has started casting extras for Season 3 in the Fort Worth area, with sessions scheduled for September 24 and 25. The show is most likely continuing through early 2027, which puts the premiere somewhere in mid-to-late 2027.
Billy Bob Thornton Is Staying
Billy Bob Thornton is not going anywhere. The actor who plays Tommy is staying with the show for Season 3.

The cast is attached, the cameras are rolling, and the audience is waiting. The only thing left is the actual air date.
