Banijay Entertainment is showing off its biggest lineup yet at Mipcom 2026, and it is doing so with a newly merged All3 Media in tow. The company’s stand at Cannes has been renamed Banijay House, and the offerings inside cover everything from formats to scripted series to returning favorites.
The Combined Format Franchise
The headline act is the company’s format franchises, which now sit under one roof. That includes “The Traitors,” “Survivor,” “Fear Factor” and “The Circle.” Former All3Media titles fill out the rest of the lineup, from premium scripted through returning favorites to factual docs and Netflix originals.
Here is how the categories break down:
- Premium scripted: “Reputation” and “Maya”
- Returning favorites: “Midsomer Murders” and “The Assassin”
- Factual: two Lion TV docs
- Netflix: its “Legends” series
New Scripted Stars
The scripted lineup is anchored by two high-profile titles. “Reputation” is a BBC One legal thriller starring Naomie Harris and Christina Hendricks, written and exec produced by Anya Reiss (“Becoming Elizabeth”). “Maya” is a witness protection thriller from “Fleabag” producer Two Brothers Pictures, starring Ramsey and Daisy Haggard and written by BAFTA and International Emmy nominee Daisy Haggard (“Back To Life,” “Breeders”).
Formats and Evergreens
Banijay is also pushing its catalogue of returning favorites. The company cites research from Plum Research that finds 90% of views and 75% of titles viewed on streaming services come from the long tail. That means older shows still hold value, and Banijay is shopping “Rogue Heroes,” “A Remarkable Place to Die,” “A Woman of Substance,” “Bergerac,” “Midsomer Murders,” “The Assassin” and more at Mipcom.
Netflix is also part of the pitch. Upcoming releases include “Beat Luke Littler” from Workerbee, “Will You Marry Me?” co-produced by Workerbee and Initial, “Simon Says” from Bunim/Murray Productions and Studio Lambert’s “Monopoly.” Returning hits include House of Guinness from Kudos and Legends co-produced by Tannadice Pictures and Lion Television.
The Leadership Pitch
Cathy Payne, CEO of Banijay Rights, framed the event as a turning point for the company.
“Mipcom 2026 marks a major milestone for Banijay Entertainment – our first distribution showcase as a combined group, and the first opportunity to unite the full force of our creative talent, standout catalogue and exceptional pipeline of new IP,” she said.
James Townley, Chief Content Officer, Development, and Lucas Green, Chief Content Officer, Operations, added that the company is “harnessing the collective strength of our global creative community to develop and roll out the next wave of standout IP and cross-platform originals.”
What It Means for Buyers
The sheer scale of the lineup is the story. Banijay is presenting itself as a one-stop shop for buyers looking across every genre, every screen and every platform. The format franchises give buyers a tested brand, while the scripted slate offers fresh IP with star power.
Whether buyers will take the bait remains to be seen, but the offering is certainly ambitious.
