Paramount+ is packing October with new TV shows, movies and sporting events, and the streaming service is betting viewers will treat it like fall premiere season. The platform is adding new episodes of CBS’s primetime lineup, a full season of Dexter: Resurrection, and a massive wave of horror films just in time for Halloween.
The TV Lineup
The biggest TV addition is the premiere of NCIS: New York. LL Cool J returns to the franchise after spending 14 seasons and nearly 300 episodes on NCIS: Los Angeles. A recast from another show in the NCIS family will bring another familiar face to primetime opposite him.
Tracker starts its fourth season on October 1, with Justin Hartley continuing as the lead. Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage begins its third season on October 8. And Marshals, the Yellowstone universe procedural that became one of CBS’s biggest hits of the 2025-2026 season, returns for a second season.
The Horror Wave
Paramount+ is treating October as spooky season. The movie library adds a wide range of horror titles, from classics to cult favorites. The list runs from A Haunted House (2013) and A Haunted House 2 (2014) to Hostage (2005) and Drag Me to Hell (2009).

Originals include Cupertino, starring Mike Colter, who returns to CBS for the first time since Evil was moved to the streaming service and ended in 2024. Elsbeth starts its fourth season on October 8, and Eternally Yours joins the lineup.
The sports slate is heavy. NFL on CBS streams games throughout October, including matchups between the Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Cincinnati Bengals, the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills, the Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens, the Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers, the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders, and the Los Angeles Chargers and Seattle Seahawks.
What to Watch First
If you want horror, the Halloween wave is the place to start. If you want new TV, NCIS: New York is the big premiere. If you want football, the NFL schedule runs throughout the month.

The sheer volume of content is the story here. Paramount+ is adding hundreds of movies and dozens of new episodes across multiple shows, and the horror lineup spans decades of genre cinema.
The question is whether viewers will actually watch it all. October is a busy month for streaming, and Paramount+ is not the only service fighting for attention.
