Metallica and adidas have announced a merch capsule for the band’s “Life Burns Faster” residency at Las Vegas’ Sphere, and the lineup of extras surrounding the shows runs so wide it almost feels like a separate attraction on the Strip.
The residency starts this Thursday, October 1st, and runs for 24 dates through March 2027. Tickets are available now. The Metallica x adidas merch goes on sale Wednesday, September 30th, at the Sphere, plus a pop-up shop in Vegas and online at metallica.com and adidas.com.
The capsule mixes the adidas Trefoil design with signature Metallica imagery across T-shirts, hoodies, tanktops, long-sleeves and sweatshirts, in men’s, women’s and children’s sizes. Adidas is also running a giveaway: fans can win signed Metallica merch and free tickets for five select dates via adiCLUB and the CONFIRMED app.
Pop-Up Shop Opens First Two Weeks
Metallica has a full slate of events during the residency. A pop-up shop opens Wednesday through Sunday on the first two weeks of the shows. There is also the Black Box interactive fan experience, filled with memorabilia, interactive exhibits and unique merchandise.
Live Call-In Show on SiriusXM
Attendees can catch a live call-in show edition of SiriusXM’s “‘Tallica Talk” on their Maximum Metallica channel. The show runs as part of the residency programming.
Cigar Partnership With Drew Estate
There is also a collaboration with the cigar company Drew Estate. The partnership is part of the residency’s wider set of offerings.
Blood Drive Sponsored by Delta Air Lines
A Red Cross blood drive is sponsored by Delta Air Lines. It is one of several events Metallica is hosting during the residency.
Offers Via inKind Dining
Offers via inKind dining round out the additional programming. All details are on the Metallica website.
Mohegan Sun Shows and Tour Dates
Metallica are performing two special shows at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, to mark the venue’s 25th anniversary. The band is also doing a 12-date 2027 North American tour with Limp Bizkit and Avatar. Tickets are available for both.

“Life Burns Faster”
The residency itself is the main draw, but the ancillary programming is the story. A pop-up shop, a Black Box fan experience, a live call-in radio show, a cigar partnership, a blood drive and a 25th anniversary concert — this is less a concert series and more a full-service entertainment complex.
The merch is standard licensed fare, with the Trefoil sitting alongside the band’s familiar imagery. It is functional. The residency extras are the interesting part, and they are extensive.
The residency runs through March 2027, which means Metallica will be playing Las Vegas for nearly six months. That is a commitment. It also means the pop-up shop and Black Box experience are only available for the first two weeks, so anyone who wants to see them should plan accordingly.
The SiriusXM call-in show is a small touch, but it is the kind of thing that makes a residency feel more personal. A blood drive and a cigar collaboration are stranger bedfellows than you might expect for a rock band, but Metallica has never been a band that plays it safe.
The residency is a big bet for Metallica. They are locking themselves into a city for nearly half a year, and they are bringing everything they can think of to keep fans entertained between shows.
