Jeff Hiller is heading back to the undead side of television. The actor, fresh off winning an Emmy for Apple’s Widow’s Bay, has landed a guest role on CBS’ new comedy Eternally Yours.
Hiller will play Aldrict, an old-world vampire who has crossed paths with the show’s lead character LIZ several times over the centuries. The role is described as a bit of a troublemaker, which fits the character’s history with the series. He appears in multiple episodes, starting with the third episode, when the series premieres on Thursday, October 8.
Aldrict’s Place in the Story
Eternally Yours follows two vampires, Liz (played by Allegra Edwards) and Charles (Ed Weeks), who have been married for five hundred years. Their current struggle involves their daughter, Emma (Helen J Shen), who is dating a human named Max (Jaren Lewison). The show explores how the couple accepts Max as part of their family.
The source does not establish whether Liz recognizes Aldrict or remembers their encounters. It only says Aldrict has crossed paths with LIZ several times over the centuries.
A Familiar Pair of Creators
The show was created by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, who also serve as showrunners and executive producers. Hiller previously worked with them on Ghosts, where he starred in two episodes last season as a server named Jeff. He also appeared in another CBS comedy called Elsbeth.
Port and Wiseman are joined by Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum and Jason Wang as executive producers. CBS Studios is the studio behind the series.
A Busy Year for Hiller
Hiller has had a strong year in television. In September 2025, he won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his work on HBO’s Somebody Somewhere. This year, he was also nominated for an Emmy in the Outstanding Guest Star in a Drama series category for his work on Apple’s Pluribus.
His recent work includes Widow’s Bay, where he plays Dale, who works in the town hall for Mayor Tom Loftis, played by Matthew Rhys. Hiller was recently upgraded from guest star to series regular for season two.
The Premiere Date
The premiere is Thursday, October 8. Aldrict’s first appearance comes in the third episode, with subsequent appearances spread across multiple episodes.

The Casting
Hiller’s addition brings a known quantity to the cast. For Eternally Yours, his presence adds a layer of history to the vampire world the show is building.
The show’s creators have built a world where a vampire can cross paths with a character over centuries and still be considered a troublemaker. That history is part of what makes Aldrict’s arrival worth watching.
