Shueisha is marking the 30th anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh! with a special issue of Jump, the magazine that launched the franchise. The issue, out November 13th, 2026, compiles twelve legendary Duelists into a single magazine. It costs 990 Yen.
The issue also comes with a physical pack called “Legendary Duel Selection.” The pack costs 700 Yen and includes a sticker sheet, though that sheet is not available with the digital edition. Buyers who purchased the book digitally need to have used Amazon and Kindle.
The Legendary Duel Selection Pack
The pack contains three cards. The standout is Buster Blader, the One Who Surpasses the Limits, a Level 8 EARTH Warrior Effect Monster. Its effects let you Special Summon it from your hand or Graveyard by discarding a Spell card, changing its name to “Buster Blader” but banishing it when it leaves the field. It gains 500 ATK for each opponent’s Attack Position monster, and you can discard one card to Special Summon a monster destroyed by battle.
The card’s name references dialogue from Yugi’s Duel against Marik. Its artwork is a reference to it seeming to attack Slifer the Sky Dragon, with Revival Jam taking the hit.
The other two cards are De-Fusion and Enemy Controller, both Secret Rare.
What the Issue Includes
The magazine itself is the main draw. Twelve legendary Duelists are compiled into a single issue, which is a notable collection for fans of the series. The issue also celebrates the return of Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions to theaters.
The sticker sheet adds a tactile element for collectors. It is a small bonus, but it is the kind of thing that makes physical collections feel more complete.
A Card With a Story
Buster Blader is the real draw. It is a card whose name and art reference a pivotal duel between Yugi and Marik. The card’s text also references the scene, tying the mechanics directly to the story.
The card’s effects are simple but effective. Discard a Spell to summon it, gain ATK based on the opponent’s monsters, and bring back a monster you destroyed. It is a versatile card for a player looking to control the field.
Here is how the card’s effects break down:
- You can only use the (1) effect of this card’s name once per turn.
- If this card is in your hand or Graveyard, you can discard 1 Spell; Special Summon this card, and if you do, its name becomes “Buster Blader”, but banish it when it leaves the field.
- Gains 500 ATK for each opponent’s Attack Position monster.
- When this card destroys a monster by battle, you can discard 1 card; Special Summon that monster to your field.
