Black Ops 7 Season 6 begins tonight — check the schedule for your local broadcast time

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 6 begins Thursday, Sept. 17 at 12 p.m. EDT, and the final season before Modern Warfare 4 arrives is packed with spooky content. The Season 6 Start Time

The global rollout is designed to keep the game available somewhere while players sleep, though the gap between Japan and the west coast is wide.

What’s New in Multiplayer

Two new 6v6 maps arrive in Season 6: Quantum and Bloodstead, a horror-themed variant of the Homestead map. That gives the base roster a fresh look for ranked play and casual matches alike.

But the bigger draw is the limited-time T.E.D.D. Trials mode. Three maps from the zombies mode are coming to multiplayer as part of it:

• Roadkill — part of the Exit 115 map
• Inferno — from Kowakujo
• Lost — from Totenreich

Each of those maps carries its own flavor, and the mode lets players jump between them for a mix of styles in a single match.

Zombies Gets Its Own Content

The zombies mode gets a new survival map called Tenshu, along with directed mode and starting room support for Rex Infernus. That’s a solid haul for players who live in the endgame.

Endgame and Warzone Changes

Endgame gets a major visual shift. Avalon is now set at night, which changes the feel of the whole map. The “Forbidden Summoning” event adds new enemy types and a colossal ancient worm boss to the mix.

Warzone also gets a major revamp. Haven’s Hollow becomes Haunted Hollow, with numerous changes throughout the map, including a ghost train. The map’s identity shifts entirely, and players who know it well will need to learn the new layout.

Comparing the Time Zones

The time difference between Japan and the west coast of North America is notable. Players in Japan won’t see the season start until 1 a.m. JST on Friday, Sept. 18, nearly a full day after the west coast sees it at 9 a.m. PDT on Thursday.

That gap means players in Japan have a longer wait, but the game remains available somewhere across the globe at all hours.

Our Take on the Season

The sheer amount of new content here is impressive. Two new 6v6 maps, three zombie maps in multiplayer, a new survival map, a colossal worm boss and a full revamp of Haven’s Hollow is a lot to digest.

The T.E.D.D. Trials mode is particularly clever. It takes maps that were locked away in zombies and puts them on the main battlefield, giving players access to locations they might otherwise miss.

The Forbidden Summoning event adds a clear goal for players to chase, complete with new enemy types and the colossal worm boss. The Warzone revamp is the biggest structural change. A ghost train running through Haven’s Hollow will change how players move across the map.

For a final season, this is a generous package. Players get new maps, new modes, and a clear sense of direction before Modern Warfare 4 arrives. The Haunting theme ties everything together, and the content spread across the game’s four pillars means there’s something for everyone.
