Henry went through the stones without his wife and infant son and wound up in an Inverness psychiatric hospital in 1924. He’s agitated, devastated, and restrained in a straitjacket. Ellen quickly decides that she’ll give herself up to them, because her brothers will take her back, but they’ll kill Brian and Murtagh if they see them. Brian doesn’t like this plan, but Murtagh agrees.
Julia’s Cover Story
Julia has to sell the kidnapping story to the Grants. Arch Bug’s call of Henry being bonkers does the trick. She reminds Simon he has to prepare for war. Davina’s reaction to learning the truth about Julia and Henry is immediate panic, closing her eyes so Julia can’t take her soul.
