Buffalo Traffic Jam have sold out their entire 25-date “Pictures of You Tour,” and the two young musicians from Montana are suddenly playing some of the biggest rooms in the country. The folk duo, made up of Frankie Cassidy and Nathan Ross, announced the run earlier this week, and tickets to every stop — from Irving Plaza in New York to the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. — are now gone.

The band released their self-titled debut EP in 2024 and followed it up with the full-length Pictures of You in July, issued via Arista Records. Their biggest song, “Fool’s Gold,” has racked up more than 130 million streams and reached No. 3 at AAA radio and No. 4 at Alternative. The album itself pulls more than 4.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

The Two Students Who Started Something Bigger

Cassidy and Ross met as students at Montana State University in Bozeman, where they formed the band. Since then, they have expanded their audience quickly, opening for Dylan Gossett and appearing at festivals including Under the Big Sky. They made their national television debut on CBS Saturday Morning.

Their momentum has continued through the summer, and the sold-out headline run shows no sign of slowing. The duo also have additional dates scheduled in Australia, Europe and the UK, plus an appearance at Stagecoach in April 2027.

What Got Sold Out

The “Pictures of You Tour” runs through December, with the band playing cities across the United States, Canada, Australia and Europe. The itinerary includes two-night stands at Irving Plaza in New York, the Ogden Theatre in Denver and The Elm in Bozeman.

Key dates include:

  • September: Pryor, OK at the Born & Raised Festival; Atlanta at the Buckhead Theatre; Knoxville at The Mill & Mine; Chicago at the House of Blues; Detroit at Saint Andrew’s Hall; Louisville at the Kentucky Exposition Center; McKees Rocks, PA at the Roxian Theatre; and two nights at Irving Plaza.
  • October: Washington, D.C. at the 9:30 Club; Boston at Roadrunner; London, Ontario at the London Music Hall; Toronto at the Danforth Music Hall (two nights); Ottawa at The Bronson; Montreal at Theatre Beanfield; College Station, TX at Wolf Pen Creek Park; Auckland, NZ at The Tuning Fork (two nights); Sydney at the Metro Theatre (two nights); Brisbane at The Fortitude Music Hall; Northcote at Northcote Theatre (two nights); and Fremantle at Metropolis Fremantle.
  • November: St. Petersburg, FL at Vinoy Park; Apopka, FL at Apopka Amphitheater; Missoula, MT at The Wilma; Bozeman at The Elm (two nights); Salt Lake City at The Complex; and Denver at the Ogden Theatre (two nights).
  • December: The tour wraps in Bozeman at The Elm.

The European leg picks up in January 2027, with shows in Stockholm, Oslo, Hamburg, Köln, Amsterdam, Paris, Manchester, London, Glasgow, Dublin and Indio, CA at Stagecoach in April.

How to Catch Them

With the tour completely sold out, fans who want to see Buffalo Traffic Jam live will need to look elsewhere. Vivid Seats is offering tickets for the remaining dates, with a promo code that cuts the cost of a first order of $200 or more by $20.

The code is COS20. Fans can save $20 off their first order of $200 or more by using promo code COS20 at checkout.

What Comes Next

The band’s schedule stretches well into 2027, with the Stagecoach appearance at the top of the list. After that, they head back to Europe for a string of shows in Sweden, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, France, the UK and Ireland.

The Australian dates in October and November give them a chance to play in a new market. The European run will be a significant stretch of touring for the duo.

Why This Matters

Buffalo Traffic Jam’s success is notable because it comes from a small town with a big idea. Cassidy and Ross met in college and built a career together, one song at a time. Now they are playing clubs and theaters in cities they likely never expected to touch.

The “Fool’s Gold” streams tell part of the story, but the sold-out shows tell the rest. A band can rack up numbers on streaming services, but selling out a headline run takes something more: a connection with an audience that wants to see them live.

The duo has built that connection in two years, from a debut EP to a full album to a headline run that is already history. The remaining dates will be the ones that matter most, and the fact that they are all sold out speaks for itself.

For now, the band is focused on finishing the current run and getting to the next city. The road ahead is full, and the tour continues through December.

“Fool’s Gold” has racked up more than 130 million streams and reached No. 3 at AAA radio and No. 4 at Alternative.
