“Fortnite” has opened a portal to the world of “Kingdom Hearts.” The Sora, Riku, Kairi and Roxas outfits are now live in the Fortnite Shop, each complete with its own Back Bling, Pickaxe and Lego Fortnite style. Drop into the Kingdom Hearts Power Hours this Saturday, Sept. 19, from 2 to 4 p.m. ET and 9 to 11 p.m. ET, and every player starts with the Kingdom Key and a Sea Salt Ice cream.
Two new Kingdom Hearts Overrides have been added. One is the Recovery Override (Squad & Match-Wide), which allows players to take down a player with any weapon and leave behind healing orbs. The other is the Level Up Override (Squad), which places a Mythic Kingdom Key for each squad member at their current position.
What the Outfits Include
The four outfits cover the main characters of the series:
- Sora
- Riku
- Kairi
- Roxas
The outfits come with their own Back Blings and Pickaxes, styled after Lego Fortnite designs, and they’re currently up for sale in the Fortnite Shop.
The Kingdom Hearts Power Hours
The Kingdom Hearts Power Hours are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, from 2 to 4 p.m. ET and 9 to 11 p.m. ET. During these hours, all players start with the Kingdom Key and a Sea Salt Ice cream.
The New Overrides
When a player gets eliminated, the Recovery Override (Squad & Match-Wide) places healing orbs, no matter what weapon was used. The Level Up Override (Squad), on the other hand, produces a Mythic Kingdom Key for each squad member, setting it down at their present spot.
Marvel’s Wolverine Arrives on PS5
Insomniac Games and Marvel Games have put out a fresh adventure title based on Marvel’s “Wolverine”, made for PlayStation 5, at the same time that “Fortnite” is bringing Kingdom Hearts material into the mix.
Logan’s journey centers around his quest to uncover the truth about his own history, and he gathers a group of companions and rivals along the way, including Jean Grey, Sabretooth and Bolivar Trask.

Our View
Today sees two major releases go live at once. The shop has stocked the Kingdom Hearts outfits, and the Power Hours are scheduled for this weekend. The “Wolverine” title is also on sale now.
Gamers have plenty to choose from this week, with two very different offerings. One is a fast fashion update, while the other is a complete journey. Both arrive at roughly the same time, and either suits a player’s mood. It is a solid week to be gaming.
