Season 14 of Gabby’s Dollhouse finally introduces Gabby’s kid sister Doozie, and the two of them are singing about it. The new episode arrives Tuesday on Netflix, and Billboard has the exclusive premiere of their first duet, “Meow-Meow Bow-Wow Family.”
In the scene, Gabby and her cat Pandy meet Doozie and her dog Puggie. The song is simple and cheerful, with lyrics about sisters, whiskers, cats and dogs, wagging tails and clapping paws. The full performance is available to watch below.
Doozie Joins the Gabby Cats
Doozie is just as obsessed with dogs as Gabby is with cats. That shared obsession becomes the whole premise of the duet. The song celebrates the idea of a family that gets along happily, regardless of species.
The addition of Doozie changes the show’s dynamic. Gabby (voiced by Laila Lockhart Kraner) and Doozie (voiced by Celestina Harris) bring a new sisterly relationship to the series, and music plays a big role in how that relationship develops across the four new episodes hitting Netflix on Tuesday.
The EP Behind the Song
“Meow-Meow Bow-Wow Family” is the lead single from the upcoming Pawty Time EP, a six-song collection arriving Tuesday via Republic Records: Kids & Family. The EP is described as a fun milestone for the Gabby’s Dollhouse universe.
Bree Bowles, senior vice president of Republic Records: Kids & Family, praised the project. “Introducing Doozie through music creates a whole new way for families to connect with these characters, and ‘Meow-Meow Bow-Wow Family’ perfectly captures the heart of what makes this franchise so special,” she said. “We’re incredibly proud to continue growing the music alongside DreamWorks Animation and bringing fans even more stories they can sing, dance, and celebrate together.”
Why Music Matters Here
Music has always been central to the storytelling in Gabby’s Dollhouse, according to Alexandra Nickson, senior vice president of music at DreamWorks Animation. “Bringing Gabby and Doozie together musically opens the door to a wonderful new dynamic that families will instantly fall in love with,” she said.
Nickson added that the EP captures the fun, warmth, humor and imagination that define both series.
The Track List
The Pawty Time EP runs six songs:
- “Meow-Meow Bow-Wow Family”
- “Doggy Dogs”
- “Fairy Sitter Dance”
- “Happy Birthday DJ”
- “Fairy Flower Bread”
- “Sprinkle Party (Cream Puff Remix)”
The EP is a mix of character-driven tracks, with titles that hint at the show’s signature blend of whimsy and playfulness.
What Fans Get Tuesday
Tuesday brings the new season episodes on Netflix and the Pawty Time EP via Republic Records: Kids & Family. The duet is the centerpiece of both releases.
Our View on the Duet
This is exactly the kind of wholesome preschool silliness this franchise does best. A cat-loving girl and her dog-loving kid sister singing about being one big animal family is pure delight. The song is catchy, the concept is warm, and the visual of the two pups dancing alongside their human siblings is the perfect introduction to the new character.
