Girl Scouts is expanding its 2027 cookie lineup with two new additions, including the organization’s first treat made specifically for dogs.
The new items are Patch Pals, a soft-baked dog treat, and Girl Scout Sparkables, a cookie for people with certain food limits. Both will launch alongside returning favorites when the season starts in January 2027.
Patch Pals and Sparkables
Patch Pals are blueberry dog treats. Girl Scouts created them with Bark.
Each treat carries one of four “patch” designs representing classic Girl Scout experiences. The organization said the treats were inspired by “Girl Scouts’ deep love for their dogs” and honor “the bond between people and their pups.”
“For four-legged family members, Patch Pals offer a playful new way to take part in the fun,” Girl Scouts said in a release.
Girl Scout Sparkables is the first cookie the organization has made for families dealing with certain food limits. The cookies are crunchy with chocolate chips and sprinkles. They are gluten-free, nut-free and vegan.
The cookies were developed with Partake in a dedicated facility free from nine major food triggers.
“Girl Scout Sparkables bring a new level of inclusivity to the Girl Scout Cookie portfolio as its first-ever cookie developed for families navigating certain food allergies,” the organization said.
Why the lineup changed
The additions follow requests from Scouts themselves. The organization said girls around the country had pushed for a broader cookie lineup.
“Inspired by Girl Scouts around the country who have advocated for expanding the cookie lineup to meet the diverse needs of their communities, Patch Pals and Girl Scout Sparkables offer new ways for more girls, families and beloved pets to participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program, while staying true to what makes the tradition special,” the release added.
Both items will be sold only online starting January 12.
Returning classics include Thin Mints, Samoas or Caramel deLites, and Tagalongs or Peanut Butter Patties.
A record-breaking seller
The 2027 news follows a notable 2026 season. Six-year-old Daisy Scout Pim Neill sold nearly 87,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies by mid-February.
She had first aimed to earn enough money for scout camp. She later set her sights on selling more than 100,000 boxes before her store closed for the season.
Her sales broke past records.
What came before
Girl Scouts also expanded the lineup for the 2026 season. That year added Exploremores, a rocky road-inspired sandwich cookie with chocolate, marshmallow, and toasted almond-flavored creme.
The 2027 season now brings two items at once.

The 2027 season starts in January. Online ordering opens January 12.
Patch Pals and Girl Scout Sparkables will join the full roster of classics. People who want the dog treats or the limited-ingredient cookies will need to order online, since neither will appear in physical sales spots.
The two new items extend a program that already reached many people. Now it includes pets and people with food limits.
