A husband and wife claim God instructed them to create a cryptocurrency. Over 500 people invested, contributing more than $3 million dollars. The venture fell apart within a year, leaving all of those investors without any of their money.
Eli and Kaitlyn Regalado built INDXcoin and marketed it via connections within evangelical Christian circles, including family and friends. In court, the pair said they got holdings in an obscure digital coin in October 2021. Eli claimed he heard God say, “Take this to my people for a wealth transfer.”, and eventually the couple concluded that God wanted them to start their own coin.
When Eli Regalado first heard God speak, he thought he was hallucinating. The couple says divine guidance led them to get married, buy a house, and begin having children before pointing them toward crypto.

Solar Geoengineering Road Map
For over fifty years, researchers have investigated whether putting reflective particles into the stratosphere could fight climate change by copying the cooling from volcanic eruptions. Despite hundreds of studies, the field has failed to settle on how effective such an approach would be, or what other consequences it might bring.
A detailed plan for experiments, studies, and infrastructure has been laid out by Reflective, a San Francisco nonprofit research organization, with the aim of making informed choices about solar geoengineering. No systematic approach currently exists for clearing up the surrounding uncertainty.

Chips That Recycle Energy
Throughout the history of the computer chip, engineers have treated waste heat as an unavoidable expense of computation. Hannah Earley sees it differently, arguing that it is a design decision.
Earley, 31, is cofounder and CTO of Vaire Computing, which builds chips that recycle energy usually thrown away as heat. The strategy is known as reversible computing, and it could make data centers, laptops, and phones much more energy efficient.
Vaire made a major announcement last year about a chip with a resonator that put out more energy than it consumed, even when factoring in the power required to run the component itself.
MIT Technology Review has named Earley to its list of honorees in computing and robotics on the 35 Innovators Under 35 list for 2026, placing him among those recognized for their work in technology.
