Konami’s “Sinful Spoils” Theme Brings Four New Cards to The Gathering

Konami reveals the Sinful Spoils set: fire, darkness, treasure, and ruin beneath a buried city.

A dragon and witch rise above the ruins of a buried city, flames burning around them.

Konami has revealed the first three cards from the Sinful Spoils set. The new cards let you dig through your deck to summon monsters from the grave, then strip away your opponent’s defenses.

Flame Dragon’s Mechanics

Shinden ni Sukuu Enryuu is a Level 8 FIRE Dragon. You can send a face-up Spell Card from your field to the Graveyard to Special Summon this card from your hand. Once summoned, it gains 500 ATK until the end of the turn, then you can pick a face-up Monster Card in either Spell & Trap Zone and Special Summon it in face-up Defense Position.

Black Witch’s Setup

Shinden ni Nozomu Kuromajo is a Level 7 DARK Spellcaster. You can only summon her once per turn, and you send one card from your field to the Graveyard to summon her from your hand. During your Main Phase that she was Normal or Special Summoned, you send one monster from your hand to the Graveyard. Then you can Set Sinful Spoils of Doom – Rciela from your Graveyard to your Spell & Trap Zone.

The Trap’s Protection

Sin Treasure of Death – Rciela is a Legend Normal Spell Card. You choose one face-up Level 7 or higher Spellcaster monster on your field. That monster cannot be destroyed by your opponent’s effects until the end of your opponent’s next turn. Then you can choose up to three face-up monsters with 100 or more ATK on your opponent’s field. Those monsters lose ATK equal to the ATK of your chosen monster, and monsters whose ATK becomes 0 are destroyed.

Recycle and Summon

Chikagai no Ikkaku is a Normal Spell Card. You choose one “The Flame Dragon Haunting The Temple” or “The Black Witch Facing The Temple” in your Graveyard and add it to your hand. If there is a face-up Level 8 or higher monster on your opponent’s field, you can Special Summon one monster from your hand to your field.

How Each Card Works

  • Shinden ni Sukuu Enryuu turns a Spell Card into a Dragon that summons another monster.
  • Shinden ni Nozomu Kuromajo sets a trap from the grave while weakening your opponent’s board.
  • Sin Treasure of Death – Rciela protects your monsters and punishes your opponent’s strongest attackers.
  • Chikagai no Ikkaku recycles a key monster and summons another from your hand if your opponent has a big monster out.

The Cards and Their Names

Each card carries a name that points back to the others, and the theme holds together across the three revealed cards.

The Verdict

The Sinful Spoils set has delivered a theme with solid mechanical backing. The cards reward players who want to dig through their deck, and the interactions between them create a chain of effects that builds toward a punishing offense.

This is a set that rewards players who pay attention to the names on their cards, and it delivers on the promise of its title.
