Konami has announced the next Dice Rally event for Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, and it brings a large gem payout for players who log in soon. The event runs from September 9th, 13:00 JST, with a login reward available before September 28th, 12:59 JST.
Players who log in before that deadline can claim a Desperate Tag Icon as part of the High-school Japan Finals Campaign. The game describes it as “An exclusive Icon offered on special occasions.”
The September 2026 Rally Rules
The Dice Rally asks players to roll dice by meeting duel conditions. Each die earned gives either 50 or 100 gems, and players can collect up to 50 dice. That adds up to 1,800 gems from dice alone.
Three conditions grant +150 points each toward earning dice. You need to Normal or Special Summon a Level/Rank 7 or higher monster, activate the effect of a Spell/Trap Card, or destroy an opponent’s card by battle or card effect.
Round Rewards Breakdown
Completing full rounds of the Rally board also pays out. The first three rounds each give 100 gems. Round 4 hands over a Mate’s Base: Effect Monster Card. Round 5 gives 100 gems. Rounds 6 and 7 each award 10 Legacy Pack Tickets.
Round 8 delivers the title “Unstoppable Force.” The game describes it as “A Stand inspired by ‘Red Hypernova Dragon’. An Earth-shaking force that urns everything to ashes burns within.”
The title’s flavor text reads: “A Title given to Duelists who achieved results in the ‘Dice Rally ~ September 2026 ~’ event. A brilliant future awaits those courageous enough to trust themselves.”
A Massive Ban List For The Event
The event comes with its own Forbidden/Limited List, and it is extensive. Many cards are forbidden or limited for the Rally’s duration.
The forbidden list includes major meta threats and long-time staples. Maxx “C” is banned, as are Dimension Shifter, Crossout Designator, and Triple Tactics Talents. Labrynth players lose both Lady Labrynth of the Silver Castle and Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle.

Floowandereeze And Maliss Hit Hard
The entire Floowandereeze core is gone. Floowandereeze & Eglen, Empen, Robina, Snowl, Stri, and Tocan all appear on the forbidden list. Their field spells and traps are banned too.
Maliss cards are also forbidden. Maliss (P) Chessy Cat, Maliss (Q) Dormouse, Maliss (Q) March Hare, and Maliss (P) White Rabbit are all on the list. So are Maliss (Q) Hearts Crypter and Maliss (Q) White Binder.
Lockdown And Life-Point Decks
The ban list targets lockdown strategies with particular force. Amano-Iwato, Thunder King Rai-Oh, Inspector Boarder, and Vanity’s Fiend are all gone. Barrier Statues of the Abyss, Heavens, Inferno, and Torrent are banned as well.
Life-point drain decks lose Cauldron of the Old Man, Chain Strike, Final Countdown, and D.D. Dynamite. Bad Reaction to Simochi and Darklord Nurse Reficule are also on the list, removing the classic life-point drain pair.

Combo Pieces And Extra Deck Bans
Several key combo pieces are forbidden. Branded Fusion is banned, along with Fallen of Albaz and Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon. Necroface and Moulinglacia the Elemental Lord are also out.
The extra deck loses major choices. Elemental HERO Cosmo Neos, PSY-Framelord Omega, Number 59: Crooked Cook, and The Last Warrior from Another Planet are all forbidden. Ryzeal players lose Ryzeal Detonator and Ryzeal Duo Drive.
Limited Cards And What Remains
The limited list is shorter. Conduction Warrior Linear Magnum Plus Minus, Cupsy-Yummy, Deftero Enneacraft – “alazoneIA”, and Diabellstar the Black W are all Limited for this event.
The full list also bans generic staples like Evenly Matched, Skill Drain, Gozen Match, Rivalry of Warlords, and There Can Be Only One. Solemn Judgment, Solemn Strike, and Solemn Warning are all forbidden for this event.
The Gem Payout And Login Reward
The gem payout is notable. Between the dice rewards and the round completion rewards, players can collect over 1,800 gems without spending anything.
The Unstoppable Force title is the main cosmetic prize, and the Desperate Tag Icon is a time-limited login reward tied to the High-school Japan Finals Campaign. Players who want both should log in before September 28th.
The Rally begins September 9th at 13:00 JST. The Forbidden/Limited List changes apply for this event only.
