Sony has revealed the games coming to PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra in September, and while the lineup lacks a glitzy headliner like last month’s Big Walk, there’s some decent stuff across the two tiers. The batch includes eight games for Extra and Premium subscribers, plus two additional titles for Premium only.

The standout new release is RuneScape: Dragonwilds, arriving next week on Tuesday 15th September. The rest of the list leans mostly on well-reviewed titles from the past couple of years, though there are some bangers among them.

Dragonwilds leads the month

RuneScape: Dragonwilds is a third-person co-op survival game that also arrived on Xbox Game Pass this month. It’s been in early access on Steam for about a year, where it has built a solid reputation.

The writer behind this roundup thinks it looks good. Most of the rest of the batch are titles from a year or two ago.

Older games, but good ones

Ball x Pit is a roguelike take on Breakout that the writer describes as fiendishly compelling. They say they lost hours to it, quite happily.

Date Everything! is a raunchy dating game where you chat up personified furniture around your house. It’s often hilarious, per the original article.

Slitterhead is a bizarre but well-reviewed action horror game from a couple of years ago. Dungeons of Hinterberg is an imaginative anime-style modern world fantasy RPG that also reviewed well a couple of years back.

Sniper Elite: Resistance reviewed well relatively recently. Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a widely acclaimed retro-styled side-scroller from last year that the site didn’t review, though the writer has heard great things about it.

Premium extras for Metro and Mega Man fans

The two Premium-only additions target specific fan bases: Mega Man X Command Mission and Metro Redux. Both arrive on 15th September. If you’re a fan of things Metro or Mega Man, this month’s Premium offerings are for you.

There’s no marquee day-one title this month. The original article notes that last month’s Big Walk was the kind of headliner September lacks.

Still, for subscribers who haven’t picked up these games elsewhere, the month offers a decent spread across action, horror, RPG, and sports — WWE 2K26 covers the wrestling side. There’s something for most tastes here.
