A musical act performs on stage with dramatic lighting during a live concert.

Tune-Yards are booking dates across the U.S. for a run called The Ones That Love You. The Oakland duo start the tour November 5 in Chicago, then hit Louisville, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Boston and more.

Rituals of Mine will open each show. The full list of stops runs below.

The Run, City by City

The tour opens in Chicago at Outset. It stops briefly at Louisville’s Whirling Tiger before heading to Cincinnati’s Woodward Theater. The run then moves through Grand Rapids’ Pyramid Scheme, Cleveland’s Beachland Ballroom and Homer, NY, at the Homer Center for the Arts.

Portsmouth, NH, gets a date at 3S Artspace, followed by Hamden, CT, at Space Ballroom. The run closes in Boston at the Paradise Rock Club on November 18.

A Year of Work Behind the Scenes

This spring, Tune-Yards wrote and put out the score for Boots Riley’s comedy-crime film I Love Boosters. That follows their earlier work on Riley’s first feature, 2018’s Sorry to Bother You.

Better Dreaming, the band’s sixth studio album, came out in 2025. The film score is a separate piece of work from that record.

What This Announcement Actually Says

This is a standard tour announcement. It gives dates, a title and an opening act. There is no new album attached to the run, no new songs to hear. The score for I Love Boosters is real work, but it is not the reason for this tour.

The Dates and the Opening Act

The dates are real. The opening act is real. Rituals of Mine is a pop duo whose presence is consistent across the run.

The dates themselves move through the middle of the country, then up the East Coast. The run closes in Boston on November 18.

It is worth noting that the announcement includes the full schedule of stops. Each city carries its own venue, from Outset in Chicago to Space Ballroom in Hamden, CT.

The tour is a straightforward run of dates. Tune-Yards have announced the cities, the venues and the opener. Nothing about the run suggests a larger plan beyond the shows themselves.

Tune-Yards are embarking on a U.S. tour titled The Ones That Love You.

None of this is bad news. It is just a routine announcement from a working band with a new score under their belt. The tour exists, the dates are set, and the shows will happen.
