NBCUniversal has hired Jamia Bigalow as executive vice president of partner marketing in the company’s platform distribution and partnerships group. Bigalow joins NBCU after running partner marketing at Amazon’s Fire TV. Her first day is Thursday, Oct. 1.
Bigalow’s New Role
Matt Schnaars, who serves as president of NBCUniversal Platform Distribution & Partnerships, is Bigalow’s boss. She works from NBCU’s West Coast headquarters in Universal City. In the role, she will work on campaigns with streaming, broadcast and cable distribution partners alongside NBCU’s internal marketing and growth teams.
“Jamia brings to NBCUniversal a rare combination of extensive marketing experience with top companies across streaming, broadcast and cable, which is very well aligned with the company’s media portfolio composition and continued focus on platform growth.”

The Bottom Line

The announcement makes no claim about whether that experience turns into real results.
The tale, for the moment, stands as stated: a fresh face has entered the enterprise.
