Watch Disney’s ‘Worlds Collide Concert Tour’ Backstage Special

A backstage special brings stars of Descendants, ZOMBIES, and Camp Rock together, nerves and all, ahead of their joint concert tour.

Young stars gather backstage, chatting warmly before their concert performance.

Disney’s “Worlds Collide Concert Tour” is back for a second year, and On The Red Carpet is taking viewers backstage with the stars of “Descendants,” “ZOMBIES” and “Camp Rock” ahead of the tour launch.

A special titled “On The Red Carpet: Descendants, ZOMBIES and Camp Rock,” follows the stars just days before their first show, tracing their path from the red carpet at the premieres of “Descendants: Wicked Wonderland” and “Camp Rock 3,” through a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort, all the way to interviews about the films still to come.

Barton on the nerves

Malachi Barton plays Victor in “ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires” and Fletch in “Camp Rock 3.”. He also stars in the upcoming Freeform series “Coven Academy”, where he takes on the role of Jake, a magical warlock, alongside Swayam Bhatia. Barton said he was both nervous and excited about the part.

The special was told, without any embellishment, that “I’m a little nervous, but I think it’s like, the pre-show nerves that are coming in hot, but I’m feeling really excited. I think we put together a great show,”.

Barton’s “Camp Rock 3” co-star Liamani Segura echoed the sentiment. “I think we’re all so excited, but the nerves are definitely there. We just want to put on a good show for you guys,” she said. Segura plays Sage in the film and stars as Pink, Red’s little sister, in “Descendants: Wicked Wonderland.”

Stone on the energy

Hudson Stone, who plays Sage’s little brother Desi in “Camp Rock 3,” offered a simpler philosophy. “It’s all about the feeling that you’ve got to put into the show, the energy that you put in. I think as long as we’re having fun and doing what we love, then it’s going to be a great show,” he said.

The special also includes interviews with “Descendants” stars Kylie Cantrall (Red) and Malia Baker (Chloe), as well as Demi Lovato and the newly named Disney Legends, the Jonas Brothers.

The international tour

This year’s “Worlds Collide” tour goes beyond the U.S. It runs 60 dates across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the U.K. and the E.U.
