“Alpha Males” is a comedy series that follows four friends in their forties as their world changes around them. Created by Alberto and Laura Caballero, the show ran five seasons on Netflix, from December 2022 through April 2026, with 42 episodes total. The premise is simple: Pedro, Luis, Raúl and Santi feel lost in a new world of empowered women, and each tries to adjust in his own haphazard way.

The Four Friends
Santi Peralta, played by Gorka Otxoa, is a trained architect stuck in a boring surveying job. Fele Martínez plays Luis Bravo, a police officer married to Esther with two children. Fernando Gil is Pedro Aguilar, a wealthy TV producer fired in favor of a woman. Raúl Tejón plays Raúl Camacho, a restaurateur whose relationship with Luz is the show’s biggest comic engine.
The Women Around Them
Paula Gallego plays Álex, Santi’s daughter, who pushes him toward dating and the “deconstructing masculinity” course. Raquel Guerrero is Esther, Luis’s wife and mother of their two children, who pursues acting and stand-up comedy in the third season. María Hervás is Daniela Galván, Pedro’s girlfriend, a successful influencer whose lifestyle clashes with his traditional views. Kira Miró plays Luz, a divorce lawyer and Raúl’s girlfriend, who is smarter, more successful and more adventurous than he is.

In the first season, the four friends take a course on “deconstructing masculinity.” That course becomes an ongoing theme throughout the show, shaping how each man perceives himself and the world around him.

The show moved quickly through its seasons. The second season followed in February 2024, the third in January 2025, the fourth in January 2026 and the final season in April 2026.
Where It Lands
The show is uneven across its five seasons. Some episodes land as sharp, funny commentary on male privilege and changing social norms. Others drag, repeating the same jokes about Tinder, open relationships and middle-aged anxiety. The ensemble cast carries the weight, particularly Otxoa, Martínez and Tejón, who anchor the show’s central dynamic.

A Review
“Alpha Males” is a show with a clear idea and a strong cast, but it stretches that idea thinner across its five seasons than it can sustain. The best episodes are genuinely funny. The worst ones repeat themselves. The series is worth watching for its early run, but the back half loses focus.
