Angelechy Ashtra ft. BETB Support: Two Fairy Archetypes Share a Field Spell

A tale of two fairy decks joined by a shared Field Spell, wherein Angelechy Ashtra, ft. BETB Support is revealed unto the light.

A fairy knight stands before a radiant castle gate, bound by a mystic field spell.

The newest Yu-Gi-Oh! Creative Deck Profile arrives with a twist: Angelechy Ashtra, ft. BETB Support. The build pairs two fairy-themed archetypes, Angelechy and Ashtra, around a shared Field Spell. The profile, written by Quincymccoy, walks readers through the new cards, the combo logic, and a full decklist.

Angelechy’s New Tools

Angelechy is a LIGHT and DARK Fairy Synchro deck. Its new support includes Angelechy Strategy Score, a Normal Spell that tutors another Angelechy S/T. That matters because Angelechy Destrider, the deck’s core monster, needed more targets to grab.

Then there is Angelechy Endgame Problem, the theme’s second Field Spell. It turns Angelechy Opening to e4 into a powerhouse going second, setting four Angelechy Spells on the board before the opponent’s first Main Phase and adding two draws on top of that. The profile calls it “insane.”

The biggest new addition is Angelechy Seneschal, a Level 10 DARK Fairy that Special Summons a free Fairy Synchro when it is Special Summoned. Seneschal applies pressure, but the profile admits the deck needs more oomph to win duels.

Ashtra’s Big Bodies

Ashtra is the other half of the build. It runs big bodies that can be easily Special Summoned, starting with Mikumari the Sealing Deity Ashtra and Ya the Plague Deity Ashtra. Both can be summoned early, and the profile says you can start a full combo on the first turn.

The Ashtra Field Spell sends your Transaction Rollback or Angelechy Traps to the GY, including Angelechy Disturbance. That gives you more field presence even if you draw engine requirements.

The two new TCG WPs for the Ashtra theme are Audhumla, Progenitor of the Frozen Expanse and Kerolia the Frolicsome. Audhumla is a Level 9 Aqua that Special Summons itself and sends up to two S/Ts to the GY to draw that many cards, similar to Magicians’ Souls. Kerolia is a Level 1 Aqua Tuner that Special Summons itself when you do normal Ashtra things, and it also sets a banished Normal Trap back onto your board.

How the Combo Works

The build works because the Field Spell connects both decks. Ashtra can send Angelechy Traps to the GY. The profile describes the combo as starting on the first turn.

Here is how the profile breaks down the combo sequence:

  1. Summon Mikumari or Ya.
  2. Use the Ashtra Field Spell to send Transaction Rollback or Angelechy Disturbance to the GY.
  3. Activate Angelechy Opening to e4 to build a backrow of four Angelechy Spells before the opponent’s first Main Phase.
  4. Draw two cards from Angelechy Endgame Problem.
  5. Use Angelechy Strategy Score to tutor a second Angelechy card.
  6. Special Summon Angelechy Seneschal for a free Fairy Synchro.

The Full Decklist

The provided decklist mixes the two archetypes across Monsters, Spells, Traps, and the Extra Deck. Here is a breakdown of the key components:

What the Profile Leaves Out

The profile does not explain how most of these cards actually interact with each other. It describes how Audhumla and Kerolia work, but it does not cover what Seneschal’s free Fairy Synchro does, what the traps do, or how the deck wins duels. The decklist is presented as a finished product, not a step-by-step walkthrough.

That is a fair reading of the content. The profile is a creative showcase, not a strategic guide. It shows the build exists and invites readers to try it, but it does not teach you how to play it.

Why This Build Matters

The Angelechy Ashtra combination is notable because it uses a shared Field Spell to connect two otherwise separate decks. That is a clever design choice. It also gives the deck a lot of early game flexibility, since you can summon Mikumari or Ya on the first turn and then start setting Angelechy Spells immediately.

The profile’s enthusiasm is clear. Quincymccoy wants readers to enjoy these two themes working in tandem. The build is a fun idea, even if the explanation is thin.

The Bottom Line

This Creative Deck Profile is a fun read for players who want to see how two archetypes can work together. It is not a deep strategic analysis. It is a showcase, and it succeeds at that.

The decklist is complete and the combo logic is coherent. The missing piece is the actual gameplay explanation. If you want to understand why Angelechy Seneschal or Kerolia the Frolicsome are powerful, you will need to look elsewhere.

Quincymccoy has invited readers to suggest future profiles on the YGOrg Discord server in Decklists-Garage or in the comments section of his YouTube videos. Current pending requested profiles include Suship, Amazoness, Toon, Zenet, Salamangreat, Reindsurm, and Chaos Synchro.

For now, Angelechy Ashtra, ft. BETB Support is a solid example of how the game’s newer support cards can be combined creatively. The build is worth trying if you like fairy-themed decks, and the profile makes a good case for why it works.

The only question is whether the cards themselves deliver on the promise. That is a test the profile does not attempt to answer.
