Apple fans have waited a long time for a deal this sweet. The 15-inch MacBook Air M5 is $200 off for Prime Day, and the discount is live now on Amazon. As of Oct. 5, the laptop is priced at $1,299, down from its regular list price of $1,499.
The Deal Is Live Now
The discount applies to the 2026 version of the MacBook Air, which means it ships with the latest features and specs. The laptop is powered by Apple’s M5 chip, and it comes with a hefty 1TB of storage. The deal also includes up to three months free access to Apple Arcade, Fitness+, and News+.
Apple deals rarely show up this early in the Prime Day calendar. Usually, the company waits until the main event to drop its prices. But this year, the early deals continue to rack up ahead of the main event on Amazon. The 15-inch MacBook Air M5 is one of the standout exceptions.
What the MacBook Air Actually Does
The Air is built for working on the go. It is lighter and slimmer than regular MacBooks, yet it delivers the same super-smooth user experience you expect from Apple. The M5 chip powers everything, and the laptop includes features like Apple Intelligence, Touch ID, a stunning Liquid Retina display, and WiFi 7 compatibility.
The free subscriptions are a nice bonus. Three months of Apple Arcade, Fitness+, and News+ are included with the purchase, which adds value beyond the hardware itself. For anyone who wanted these services anyway, the deal effectively bundles them in at no extra cost.
Why This Deal Matters
Apple discounts do not come around too often. When they do, they tend to move fast. This deal is no exception. We expect this deal to get snapped up as October Prime Day gets going, so don’t miss the MacBook Air 15-inch with a full $200 off.
The deal is now available for $1,299. The regular list price is $1,499. The difference is $200, and it is on sale right now.
