The Album Behind the Tour
Day and Night is a double album, running 24 tracks in total. It arrived last month alongside a music video for “Versailles.” Four singles supported the release: “On Wires,” “After All,” “Don’t Leave Me on the Dance Floor,” and “Motivation.”
Marissa Lorusso reviewed the record.
A Broadway Musical in the Works
Jepsen is not just touring. She is also working on a project that goes far beyond the concert hall. She and Lena Dunham are currently developing a musical adaptation of 10 Things I Hate About You, which is set to hit Broadway next year.
The musical is a separate venture from the tour, but it ties into Jepsen’s broader creative stretch. Between the album, the singles, the video, and the Broadway project, she is keeping busy across multiple formats.
What Fans Can Expect
Jepsen is stepping out, playing the big rooms, and bringing her new record to audiences across the continent. The tour is a statement of intent.
The run begins and ends in Canada, which is where Jepsen’s career began. The itinerary moves from west to east, with a detour through Texas before heading back up the East Coast.
The tour touches some of the biggest venues in North America, from the Orpheum in Vancouver to Madison Square Garden in New York. The schedule is dense. It begins in mid-April and crosses the continent before wrapping in late May.
The 24 shows in between include stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Toronto, and more.
