She then spoke directly about what Farnham means to her. “You know, John, you’ve always been such a deep inspiration for me,” she said. “I always loved to hear you sing. And the way you sang one song, in particular, is one of my very, very favorite performances ever. That’s all. It’s so dear to my heart.”
The performance itself was a duet, with Dion joining Farnham from Paris while the Australian crowd watched in the arena and cinemas nationwide. It was a reminder of the last time they shared the stage.
The 2018 Duet, Eight Years On

Vanessa Amorosi, Tina Arena, Jimmy Barnes, Kate Ceberano, Diesel, Human Nature, Richard Marx, Jessica Mauboy, Jon Stevens, Keith Urban, Mark Vincent, and Ross Wilson all took part. Surprise guests Chris Martin and Hugh Jackman added to the star power.
The 15,000-capacity Rod Laver Arena was a swift sellout, while more than 23,000 Farnham fans packed Hoyt’s cinemas nationwide, reps say.

Following strong audience demand, the concert will return to the big screen for an encore season. The re-edited version will give audiences a second chance to see the show.
