Chainsaw Man fans will soon be able to bring Pochita home with a life-size doll that barks, growls, and even makes chainsaw noises.
The collectible comes from manufacturer MegaHouse, which has built a poseable replica of Denji’s beloved devil dog. It joins a recent wave of hyper-realistic anime merch that includes giant Umamusume horse girls, lifelike anime girl statues, and a life-size Lilligant plushie. This one, however, is not Reze — it is the resident good boy himself.
Pochita’s size and sound features
Pochita measures approximately 23.6 inches long, roughly the same length as a medium-sized dog. That makes him sizable enough to draw attention from guests and any IRL pets sharing your home.
The doll’s legs are articulated, so owners can pose him in different positions. The biggest feature is the built-in sound unit. When you stroke Pochita’s back, the doll makes barking, growling, or revving engine noises. MegaHouse has also recreated smaller details from the series, including Pochita’s rounded mouth and mini chainsaw blade.
According to the translated store page, Pochita’s glossy eyes have been designed to reflect the face of whoever is looking at it.
Price and release date
Pochita is currently priced at ¥29,150, which comes to around $189. Pre-orders are live in Japan now.
The doll is scheduled for release in Japan in late February 2027, with deliveries expected to begin in early March. No international release has been revealed.
The tail-pull cord detail
Pulling Pochita’s tail mirrors the cord Denji uses to activate his chainsaw powers in the anime. The doll recreates that interaction in physical form, letting owners mimic the activation sequence at home.
It is a small but meaningful detail for fans of the series, who will recognize the motion instantly.
How it compares to other anime merch
The Pochita doll arrives amid a wave of ambitious anime collectibles. Umamusume horse girls have been released at giant scale, and hyper-realistic anime girl statues have pushed the boundaries of what figure collectors expect. Life-size plushies have also carved out a niche for fans who want oversized versions of their favorite characters.
Pochita fits that trend, but with an interactive twist. Sound effects and poseable joints set it apart from static statues and simple plushies.
A real-life Reze cafe is also coming
Chainsaw Man fans in Japan will have another way to engage with the series soon. A real-life version of Reze’s cafe is opening, recreating locations and memorable scenes from the movie.
What to know before buying
The doll is exclusive to Japan for now. International fans will need to wait for news on a wider release.
The sound effects are a novelty, but they are also the kind of feature that could annoy pets. Buyers with dogs or cats at home should consider whether they want a barking doll in the house.
The verdict
Pochita is a faithful, interactive take on a beloved character. The articulated joints, the tail-pull cord, and the sound unit all point to a product designed with the anime’s details in mind.
The lack of an international release is a drawback for fans outside Japan. But for those willing to import, the doll offers a combination of size, poseability, and sound that sets it apart.
Chainsaw Man turns Pochita into a life-size interactive sidekick, and for fans of the series, that is exactly what the little orange devil deserves.
