The Coleman Sundome 4-Person Camping Tent is on sale for its lowest price all year. Amazon has dropped the navy blue model to $81.86, a 31% discount off its usual $117.99.
The deal runs through Oct. 1, and it arrives just ahead of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale on Oct. 6 and 7, aka “October Prime Day.” You need a Prime membership to grab it, but trial members count.
The Numbers Behind the Sale
Coleman lists the Sundome at $117.99. Amazon’s current price of $81.86 is a 31% discount, and it is the lowest the tent has been priced this year.
The price-tracking site camelcamelcamel shows the same tent was about $2 more expensive during Amazon’s summer Prime Day sale in June and $1.31 pricier during Prime Big Deal Days 2025. The only time it has been significantly cheaper than it is now was Black Friday 2024, when it hit an all-time low of $67.99.
What the Tent Actually Does
Coleman describes the Sundome as ideal for camping in warm weather. It fits one queen-sized air mattress, sets up in 10 minutes, and features a ground vent to keep the interior from getting stuffy.
There is also an E-port on the side for running power inside. The company says the tent is designed for warm weather camping.
Why Early Fall Is the Time to Buy
Retailers are now slashing prices on their remaining summer gear to clear inventories before winter. Amazon is part of that trend, putting this Coleman tent on sale as the fall Prime Big Deal Days event approaches.
The Sundome deal is a chance to get a four-person tent at a full-year low before the holiday season starts.
The Prime Requirement
The deal is available to Prime members only. Trial members count, which means new subscribers can still claim the discount.
Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale on Oct. 6 and 7 is open to Prime members, and the Sundome deal is part of the lead-up to that event.
How the Price Compares to Other Deals
The Sundome has been discounted several times this year. Here is how the current sale stacks up against recent history:
| Date | Event | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Black Friday 2024 | All-time low | $67.99 |
| June | About $2 more | $117.99 |
| Prime Big Deal Days 2025 | $1.31 pricier | $117.99 |
| Current sale | Full-year low | $81.86 |
The table shows the pattern clearly. The Sundome has moved between $67.99 and $117.99 over the past couple of years, with the current $81.86 sitting comfortably below the high points.
The Deal’s Timing
The sale is available as of Oct. 1. The price is fixed at $81.86, and it is the lowest the tent has been this year.
The Oct. 6 and 7 Prime Big Deal Days sale follows soon after, so buyers who miss this deal still have another chance. But the Sundome’s current price is its lowest of the year, and waiting until October Prime Day could mean paying more.
Who Found the Deal

What This Means for Campers
The Sundome is a straightforward family tent. Four people can fit inside, one queen-sized air mattress fits, and it sets up in 10 minutes.
The ground vent keeps the interior from getting stuffy, and the E-port allows power to run inside. For warm weather camping, the tent is designed to handle the season.
“Ideal for camping in warm weather.”
That is the whole pitch. The tent is a warm-weather product, and the discount makes sense in that context.
The Bottom Line
The Coleman Sundome 4-Person Camping Tent is $81.86 at Amazon, its lowest price of the year and a 31% discount off $117.99. The deal is available as of Oct. 1, and it is only available to Prime members.
If you were waiting for a good price on a Coleman tent, this is it. The Sundome is one of the best outdoor deals we have spotted in the lead-up to October Prime Day, and the all-time low of $67.99 on Black Friday 2024 shows how far this tent can go.
The sale is live now. The price is fixed. The deal is real.
Here is what the numbers actually mean for a buyer:
- The $81.86 price is 31% off the $117.99 list price.
