The actor who played Principal Richard Belding on the beloved ’90s TV sitcom Saved By the Bell, Dennis Haskins, has passed away at the age of 75.

TMZ reported on Monday that Haskins’ agent confirmed his passing, with no immediate word on what caused it.

From Miss Bliss to NBC

Belding first appeared on screen in 1988’s Good Morning, Miss Bliss, where Haskins played the role. That Disney Channel show lasted only one season before it was scrapped. Afterward, the series was rebuilt for NBC as Saved By the Bell, and Haskins carried over to the new version along with a handful of other cast members.
