Barcelona’s Primavera Sound has announced its 25th anniversary lineup, and the bill runs deep. Doechii, Phoebe Bridgers, and Fontaines D.C. lead a sprawling roster that spans rock, indie, hip-hop, and electronic music, with the festival set for June 2nd-6th, 2027.
The Irish band will play amid an extensive 2027 world tour, including a recently announced North American leg. The festival returns to its longtime home in Barcelona’s Parc del Fòrum, with the main program running June 3rd-5th. Wednesday, June 2nd opens the event with a free day of music, though its lineup remains unannounced.
The Headliners and Their Debut
Fontaines D.C. join Doechii and Bridgers as the top acts. The Irish band’s appearance comes during their 2027 world tour, which includes the recently announced North American leg.
Massive Attack is another major draw, making their Primavera Sound debut after their 2026 performance was canceled due to severe weather. Bad Gyal, whose 2026 set was also affected by the cancellation, is also returning.
The festival marks 25 years since the inaugural Primavera Sound was held in Barcelona in 2001.
A Long Weekend, From Free to Electronic
The weekend kicks off Wednesday with the free opening day. The festivities wrap on Sunday, June 6th, with a Primavera Bits all-day electronic takeover featuring Richie Hawtin, Four Tet, and Dixon.
Further down the bill sit a wide range of acts:
- Pavement
- King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
- Tinashe
- Underworld
- Kim Petras
- Bleachers
- ANOHNI
- Arca
- Isaiah Rashad
- Wallows
- BICEP
- Shygirl
- Dinosaur Jr.

The free Wednesday opener is a smart move, giving newcomers a taste of the festival without a ticket price attached. The electronic Sunday is a natural closer, with Richie Hawtin, Four Tet, and Dixon carrying the day.
The range of acts — from Tinashe to Underworld to CHVRCHES — suggests the lineup justifies the cost.
The 25th anniversary edition has a lot to live up to. The lineup gives it the chance.
