Elle King married her longtime partner, tattoo artist Dan Tooker, over the weekend in a rustic outdoor wedding in Tennessee. The “Ex’s & Oh’s” singer posted photos and videos from the ceremony, captioning the set “Husband and wife. Best day of my life.”
The opening image places King, 37, dressed in a fitted ivory satin gown with a plunging neckline and a long train next to Tooker, who chose a black double-breasted suit paired with a black shirt and a large, dangling silver brooch fastened to his lapel. The second slide presents a video of the couple’s first kiss, which started with what appeared to be a howl of joy from King before the pair exchanged a series of passionate kisses, followed by an arms-in-the-air yelp from the groom.
Tooker’s Instagram Story
On his Instagram Story, Tooker showed off additional scenes from the wedding. One post captured the moment King placed a ring upon his finger. Another displayed their wedding cake, which bore two oversized, lifelike bobblehead-style fondant figures of the couple atop it.
The coverage also showed the couple performing a karaoke rendition of Paul Simon’s “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover,” which seemed to serve as their first dance, along with a brief look at the pair moving about with their two young sons, Lucky Levi, 5, and Royal, 19 months.
The Mariachi Set and Cake Smash
Tooker’s reel featured video of the house band playing a mariachi cover of Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” The clip ended with the traditional bride smashing cake into the groom’s face, accompanied by Al Green’s “Love and Happiness.”

How They Got Here
King and Tooker met in 2019 and got engaged in 2020. They welcomed Lucky Levi a year later. According to People, the pair briefly broke up in 2023 and then got back together in 2024. Son Royal was born in February 2025.
A Wedding Full of Firsts
The reception blended the couple’s musical interests, starting with a karaoke duet and ending with a mariachi cover. The night concluded with a cake smash, a fitting close to the celebration.
The blend of tender moments and outrageous customs gave their ceremony its own distinct character.
