Every Hidden Hideout Location and Its Solution in Control Resonant Revealed

A secret base of six hideouts, each guarded by a riddle, awaits the seeker who dares enter Control Resonant.

A dim cafe filled with glowing machines conceals a secret entrance.

Control Resonant hides a base of operations behind a series of puzzles, and the game wants players to find all six of them. Each hideout requires solving a separate challenge before its door opens, and the rewards include lore collectibles and a health upgrade point. Find them all and the “Backroom Espionage” achievement unlocks.

Downtown’s Cafe

The first hideout sits inside the Atlantis Cafe, just northwest of the Oldest House. Its puzzle asks players to turn on the power using an electrical box, then interact with appliances in order from smallest to largest: radio, coffee maker on the right of the refrigerator, coffee maker to the left of the refrigerator, soda dispenser, microwave, and finally the refrigerator. Missing the radio on the wall makes the rest harder.

Central’s Laundry

In Central, the hideout is inside a Wear’Em & Wash’Em laundromat in the southeast corner of the eastern region. A Hiss barrier blocks the entrance, and defeating enemies outside does nothing. Players must follow red trails to three Hiss nodes — piles of traffic cones and trash cans — and destroy them to open the door.

Central’s Laundry Inside

Inside, a number puzzle with ones and zeroes tells players which washing machines to turn on and off. The first row of seven digits matches the set of seven machines, with the left side of the wall being the sixth row and the right side the seventh.

The West Incursion Store

The hideout in the West Incursion Zone sits inside an Urban Fresh Mart in the southeastern area. Players need Shift, a traversal ability unlocked from the Incursion Fault in the Parking Garage, to reach it.

The West Incursion Store Puzzle

The puzzle involves a soda dispenser whose lights blink in a pattern: three lights, then one, then two, then one again. The code is 1-2-1-3, entered backwards at the cash register.

Evacuation Gallery

In the Evacuation Zone, the hideout is inside a Könstig Art Gallery just southeast of the “Main Street” fast travel door. Players must flip light switches so the spotlight lands on art pieces matching these words:

  • Journey
  • Windows
  • Thunder
  • Tides

Starting with the trio to the left of the front desk, the order is middle, left, left, middle.

Park Cafe

The Park hideout is also inside an Atlantis Cafe, this one in the southeast corner of the zone. Players record the orders of tables 1, 5, 4, and 2, find their associated letters from the menu, and enter the string into the cash register.

Table 1’s iced coffee is B, table 5’s spiciest chai is D, table 4’s espresso is A, and table 2’s caramel latte is C. The code is B-D-A-C.

Unknown Gym

This is the hardest hideout to find, per the guide, because the Unknown has sideways buildings, upside-down buildings, floating buildings, and right-side-up buildings. One path starts from the Oldest House taxi platform, using Reach to get to the upside-down half of the Unknown, then following the sidewalk to the northeast according to the map since the radar does not work there.

Once inside the Pulse Fitness gym on the central island, players interact with a stationary bike, treadmill, and vending machine in this order:

  1. 0.5 mph on the treadmill
  2. 15 mph on the stationary bike
  3. Use the vending machine
  4. 15 mph on the treadmill
  5. 0.5 mph on the stationary bike
