Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave’s Paralogue Dates and Deadlines, Ranked by When They Arrive

A grim chronicle of dates and deadlines in Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave, wherein each paralogue holds a character's fate in its hour.

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave asks a lot of its players. It wants you to keep track of multiple routes, remember which Flame Lord’s path you are on, and hit deadlines that do not care about your stamina. The game’s paralogues are the worst of it, and now Polygon has published the full schedule of dates and deadlines for every quest across the game’s many paths.

Before you begin planning your next run, here is what you need to be aware of.

What a Paralogue Actually Does

Every Flame Lord has their own paralogue, with the non-playable Bertrand, Anatolia, Talimun, and Orchel included alongside Anna. When you finish Dietrich’s, Cai”s, Theodora’s, or a Flame Lord’s paralogue ensures they join your team in Part 3 — but there is a catch. If you complete Leda’s paralogue, those characters come along as guests only, without giving you any say over what class they take, how far they level up, or what items they carry.

A separate set applies to the playable Flame Lords. Fully completed Talimun’s, Orchel’s and Bertrand’s, or Anatolia’s paralogues count as full members whose classes you can change. The requirement is simple: finish one Flame Lord’s path, clear that path, and clear the War Arc as that Flame Lord, and the character will appear in Part 3.

Why You Might Skip Them

Skipping a paralogue makes sense in several cases:

  • You completed it on another route and do not need the gold
  • You really do not like a character and never want to see them again

The question of gold remains too. Every paralogue gives you 20,000 gold, a handy sum when you have already used up all your money buying food and gift items for others. Should you find yourself without funds, a paralogue offers a reliable means of putting gold back into your purse.

Which Paralogues Are Available Where

It is not true that every paralogue can be found along every path. On Cai’s journey, there exist several problems that can be resolved without calling upon a paralogue directly, thus solving issues without ever completing a quest. This arrangement suits Cai well enough, though it leaves you short of the characters needed for your Part 3 party.

Every paralogue can be played on Dietrich’s route except his own, making him the odd one out. That comes in handy when running multiple paths through the same region.

The Deadline That Cannot Be Missed

Dietrich brings his own set of problems. Completing Bertrand’s paralogue is the only way to recruit Peppe in Dietrich’s route and the only way to get Gaitz at all, since Gaitz is not recruitable on any other path. But Bertrand’s paralogue is only available for one day: 9/17 at 9 p.m. That leaves you just five turns before the main story deadline, and it is one of those hard deadlines that results in a game over screen if you miss it.

Make sure you have done everything you need to prep for the main quest and are ready to set out via Mars’ Gate of the Gods before tackling Bertrand’s paralogue as Dietrich.

The Date That Matters Most

Theodora faces a deadline issue of her own. The game states specific quest end dates after 10/24, yet her final chapter concludes on 10/24. Every paralogue, every preparation, and every unfinished subquest must be completed before that day arrives.

What This Means for Your Run

The lesson to draw from this is straightforward: the paralogue system shows no mercy. A missed deadline can cost you a character who may never return.

Polygon has published a table with the dates and deadlines for every paralogue across every route. The table is packed with information, yet it remains the sole means of understanding exactly what you are signing up for when you choose a path.

Polygon has assembled a range of guides for newcomers to Fortune’s Weave, covering which hero to select first, how to swap out heroes, and which mode to choose between casual and classic. These resources work alongside the paralogue dates, offering a full overview of how to configure the campaign to suit individual tastes.

The Verdict on the System

The paralogue system demands players plan ahead, and it penalizes those who neglect to do so with equal force. This approach sets it apart from the simpler games that allow grinding a dungeon whenever the player desires.

With so many pieces in motion — paths, people, dates, special cases — forgetting something is nearly unavoidable. The game pays no attention to that.

This apparatus is built from many parts, and it will not forgive neglect of any appointed hour.
