CBS has a new vampire family sitcom, and it comes straight from the writers behind Ghosts. The series is called Eternally Yours, and it follows a clan of 500-year-old blood drinkers trying to pass as normal in the modern world. Think What We Do in the Shadows meets The Addams Family, with the Ghosts team behind the camera.
The show premieres October 8, and Collider has the exclusive first look at the cast posters. The key art shows the undead ensemble ahead of the series debut.
The Vampire Family Behind the Series
Eternally Yours stars Ed Weeks as Charles, a vampire who has been married to Allegra Edwards’ character Liz for over five centuries. Their daughter Emma is played by Helen J. Shen, while Jaren Lewison brings in her human boyfriend Max.
The coven expands beyond the parents and child. Parker Young plays Jesse, whose wife Phyllis (Rose Abdoo) has had her memory repeatedly wiped to hide the couple’s true nature. Their sons are half-vampire: Henry (Shylo Molina) and Mort (Tristan Michael Brown).
A Familiar Pairing
Weeks is best known for The Mindy Project, where he starred alongside Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter. He now leads a comedy about a marriage that has survived half a millennium.
Edwards previously appeared on Ghosts as Pete’s (Richie Moriarty) island girlfriend Donna. Now she takes the lead opposite Weeks as the show’s central pairing.
The Halloween Special Question
At SDCC, the Ghosts showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman revealed that a Halloween special may air back-to-back with the Ghosts Season 6 premiere on October 29. That premiere also doubles as the first full-hour Halloween special for the original show.
The special has not yet been confirmed, but the showrunners say it follows the sister series’ footsteps, much like how Eternally Yours follows in Ghosts’.
