MSG Entertainment has elevated Josephine Vaccarello to president, a post that enlarges her control over the company’s live operations. Those operations include Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, the Beacon Theatre, and several additional venues.
Before joining MSG Entertainment, Vaccarello worked as an executive VP where she arranged concerts and sporting events, among them a residency by Billy Joel and another by Harry Styles. She has also overseen the Radio City Rockettes and the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes throughout her time at the company.
New Responsibilities
Vaccarello has been placed in charge of strategy and operations across MSG Entertainment’s venues, serving as president. That includes managing entertainment and sports bookings at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, the Beacon Theatre, and other venues. The New York Rangers and New York Knicks fall outside her scope of responsibility.
Sphere in Las Vegas, which belongs to Sphere Entertainment Co. and is a part of the MSG Family of Companies, will keep seeing her manage bookings for live concert residencies and touring acts. This includes the venues’ main properties and their associated live entertainment offerings.
The Radio City Rockettes and the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes both fall under the operations of MSG Entertainment.
A Long Career at MSG
Vaccarello began her career at MSG Entertainment in 1998, starting as an administrative assistant. Over the course of her nearly three-decade tenure, she has taken on a series of different positions within the company.
Her career has spanned multiple roles at MSG Entertainment, from her early administrative work through her executive VP period, before taking on her current presidential responsibilities.
Dolan’s Statement
Jim Dolan, executive chairman/CEO of MSG Entertainment and Sphere Entertainment, praised the promotion. “Over her nearly thirty-year career with MSG, Josephine has not only been instrumental in growing our live event business but also established herself as one of the industry’s most impactful and respected leaders,” he said.
He also noted that her “deep understanding of our businesses and unparalleled industry relationships will continue to be an asset in this new role as we execute on our strategic vision for the Company, including identifying innovative growth opportunities and furthering our leadership position in live experiences.”
Sphere’s Ranking
Billboard’s 2025 year-end Boxscore charts placed Sphere at No. 1, ranking it among venues with capacities between 2,501 and 5,000. Radio City Music Hall led all venues with capacities of 5,001 to 10,000.
Sphere’s live concert residencies and touring acts will still be managed by Vaccarello, who handled those bookings during her prior position there. This includes the bookings for the Billy Joel and Harry Styles residencies, which she helped arrange in her earlier work.
