Khloé Kardashian on Fragrances in Sephora, ‘The Kardashians’ Season 8 and ‘The Girls’ Future

Khloé Kardashian talks her Sephora fragrance launch, The Kardashians Season 8, and whether she'll return to The Girls.

Khloé Kardashian has spent the past few months doing the rounds of TV, beauty and podcasting at once, and she is not slowing down. The reality star recently launched her fragrance collection in Sephora, filmed her family’s latest season of The Kardashians, and prepared for a fourth run of her podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land. Now she has sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to talk about all three, plus the future of The Girls and whether she might return to that show.

“I’ve been so far.”

Fragrances in Sephora

Kardashian’s fragrance collection includes three scents: XO Blue, Almost Always and XO Khloé. Bringing them to Sephora is a milestone she describes as surreal. “It’s a complete dream to be in Sephora,” she told THR. “I don’t even know if any of these were. Obviously, they’re more fantasies and things that I would always hoped would happen, but now that I’m actually living them, it’s just crazy.”

She visited a Sephora store in New York City early in the morning, arriving at 8 a.m. to see the products displayed in person. The global rollout, which includes stores in Mexico and Brazil, made the moment even more overwhelming. “It’s really processing today because I went to the store today, and I’m like, I’ve been so far. It’s really a big, big accomplishment.”

The Scents Behind the Collection

Each fragrance carries a distinct note. XO Khloé, which Kardashian calls her signature scent, leans on white florals with a powdery base. It is a reflection of her personal taste.

Almost Always features a lot of lavender essence. Kardashian sprays lavender on her children’s pillows every night to help them relax and fall asleep. “It’s such a comforting scent to me, so I wanted to lean in.” XO Blue is the vacation scent, built around coconut and meant to transport the wearer to a beach, possibly with a “hot man” nearby.

The Podcast’s Next Season

Khloé in Wonder Land is returning for a fourth season, and Kardashian says she has a plan for how to fill it. She is aiming for 555 episodes, broken into groups of five on one subject each, spaced out so they are not five back to back. The format allows her to jump between topics without warning.

“I love that it’s in Wonder Land because it’s wherever my brain goes,” she said. “So one day I’m going to want to talk true crime. One day I’m going to want to talk beauty or talk to a celebrity. So you can’t say it’s a beauty and fitness podcast. There’s no real one category.”

True Crime Obsessions

True crime is a recurring obsession for Kardashian, and she admits she gets lost in rabbit holes quickly. The Lindsay Clancy trial drew her in, and she found the conspiracies surrounding it fascinating.

She also mentioned the aliens in Miami at the mall, saying “don’t get me started” on that topic. The mix of true crime, conspiracy theories and pop culture trivia shows a mind that moves fast between subjects.

Two Decades With the Audience

Kardashians is entering its eighth season on Hulu, and Kardashian reflects on how long the show has run. “It’s absolutely unbelievable — for people to be on that journey for two decades,” she said. “It is something that I count my blessings for.”

She started the show when she was 22 and is now 42. That is a lot of formative years on camera, she noted, with viewers following her through evolution, mistakes and first-time experiences. “When I have people who feel so opinionated about my life or attached, I get it. We all grew up together. I just don’t know what happened in your household.”

She sees the attachment as a gift. “It’s actually a really beautiful thing,” she said. “People do have a lot of compassion or grace or understanding because they’ve seen not just your highlight reel; they’ve seen the whole reel with me.”

No Real End Date

Kardashian does not have a firm end date in mind for The Kardashians. She and her family have always said they want to keep doing it until it is no longer fun, and if people still want to watch, there is no reason to stop.

“We have a lot of fun doing it,” she said. “I love working with my family. I love spending time with them like that. So I don’t have a real end date in my head.”

Iris’s Story

The Girls premiered a few weeks ago, and Kardashian has noticed how viewers are reading her friend Iris. In the show, Iris gets a “bully narrative,” but Kardashian does not see it that way.

“I love Iris! I don’t see that,” she said. “But I also know Iris’ story, and she is so funny. She’s so multifaceted, and there’s so much more to her. But she’s also strong, and a no-nonsense girl who works hard. There’s all these things about her that it’s interesting how other people perceived that.”

The show has been well received, and Kardashian is glad about that. But she is also aware that the show’s portrayal of her friends has shaped how audiences see them.

Aliens in Miami

The conversation turned to aliens in Miami at the mall, a topic Kardashian cut off mid-sentence with a laugh. She admitted she was “that person” who gets sucked down rabbit holes quickly, especially when it comes to weird theories.

It is a strange pivot, but it is also the kind of honesty that defines her current work. She speaks freely about her obsessions, from fragrances to true crime to aliens, without holding back.

The Bottom Line

Kardashian is busy, and she knows it. She launched fragrances in Sephora, filmed The Kardashians Season 8, prepared for Khloé in Wonder Land Season 4, and weighed whether to return to The Girls. Through it all, she sounds genuinely grateful for the audience that has stuck with her across two decades of television.

Her answers are often rambling, jumping from fragrances to aliens to conspiracy theories. But there is warmth in the chaos. She is proud of her fragrance launch, protective of her friends, and committed to her family’s show.

She has no plans to slow down.
