LEGO has a new wave of licensed builds heading to shelves this fall, and the biggest names in pop culture are all getting the brick treatment. The Avengers: Doomsday line, a PlayStation tribute, a massive Star Wars warship, and a Downton Abbey estate are all arriving soon, along with a holiday-themed house for grown-up builders.
Here is everything new, with prices and links to buy.
The Avengers: Doomsday Line
Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18th, and LEGO is rolling out a handful of sets tied to the film. The new batch drops on October 4th, and the two standout releases are the Epic Battle: Avengers: Doomsday and the Avengers: Doomsday New Avengers Tower.
The Epic Battle set is an 846-piece build centered on a fully articulated Sentinel. It has a second display head and a third arm, which is probably a bit of a spoiler for the movie. The set comes with six minifigures: Doctor Doom, Magneto, Thor, Nightcrawler, Mystique, and Mister Fantastic.
The New Avengers Tower set is smaller at 954 pieces, but it is also more affordable at $109.99. That is a significant discount compared to the hard-to-find, nearing-retirement version that costs nearly $500. This set still captures the iconic building and comes with Doctor Doom, Yelena, Red Guardian, Bucky Barnes, Human Torch, and Sentry minifigs.
There is also a new Quinjet set, which runs 433 pieces and includes Cyclops, Doctor Doom, The Thing, and Captain America (Sam Wilson) minifigs. The Avengers: Doomsday BrickHeadz set rounds out the lineup, featuring Gambit, Thor, The Thing, and Doctor Doom across 467 total pieces.
PlayStation Nostalgia
The PlayStation set recreates the classic 1994 console. It is a 1911-piece build, and the controller actually plugs in. Pressing the open button pops open the disc slot to reveal two little dioramas of Ape Escape and Gran Turismo. It is a killer set that continues the line of LEGO’s video game models, including the stellar Game Boy build and the smaller Sega Genesis.
The set also comes with a 276-piece Astro Bot model as a gift with purchase of anything over $150. That makes it a perfect pair for this $179.99 release.
Executor Super Star Destroyer
The Star Wars Executor Super Star Destroyer is massive, but it is not the Death Star. This $799.99 display piece is over 53.5 inches long and made of 6,130 pieces. It recreates Darth Vader’s personal flagship from Empire Strikes Back, and it includes a Vader minifig plus all six bounty hunters from the movie.
Boba Fett, Dengar, Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss all appear together in one LEGO set for the first time ever. With this set only, you also get a 174-piece Darth Vader’s Lightsaber gift with purchase when ordering via LEGO.
Downton Abbey Finally Arrives
LEGO Ideas sets are fan-submitted designs that go through voting and approval rounds, including licensing when necessary. This recreation of the Downton Abbey estate was first submitted in 2024 and is finally seeing releases. It is a 4,711-piece build featuring both upstairs and downstairs worlds.
The set includes 13 minifigs: The Dowager Countess, Lord Grantham, Lady Grantham, Lady Mary, Lady Edith, Tom Branson, Mr. Carson, Mrs. Hughes, Mr. Bates, Thomas Barrow, Mrs. Patmore, Anna Bates, and Daisy Parker. It is a loving reconstruction of the iconic estate.
Holiday House for Grown-Ups
LEGO Icons are designed specifically for adults, or as the box says, 18+ builders. That means more challenging build techniques and extra features. The new Holiday House sits on Jingle Lane and features a number of Easter egg references to “Jingle Bells.”
The two-story interior has a big center Christmas tree, festive decorations, and light bricks. Four included minifigs get a cozy home for the holidays.
What to Buy First
If you are only buying one set, the Epic Battle: Avengers: Doomsday is the clear winner. The articulated Sentinel and the six minifigures make it a must-have for collectors. The New Avengers Tower is a close second if you want the iconic building at a fraction of the cost.
The PlayStation set is a nostalgic treat for anyone who grew up with the console. The Astro Bot gift is a nice bonus, but the main draw is the plug-in controller and the Ape Escape and Gran Turismo dioramas.
The Executor Super Star Destroyer is a display piece for serious collectors. It is expensive, but it brings together six bounty hunters in one set for the first time. The lightsaber gift is a small but sweet addition.
The Downton Abbey set is a fan favorite that finally made it through the approval process. The 13 minifigs and the 4,711-piece build make it a significant investment, but it is a faithful recreation of the estate.
The Holiday House is a fun seasonal addition for adult builders. The light bricks and the Jingle Bells Easter eggs add character to the build.
