The Brazilian creator Lucan Pevidor holds the top spot on the Top 50 Most Subscribed YouTube Channels Worldwide for the third week in a row. He added 1.6 million weekly subscribers, according to data from GospelStats, as reported by Tubefilter.
Pevidor came in first place ahead of The Stokes Twins and MrBeast, who finished second and third. A minimum of 200,000 new subscribers were required for any channel to appear on the chart at all during the first week of September.
The New Club Rules
The Global Sub Top 50 is now an exclusive club. Channels from 17 different countries reached that benchmark this week.
India sits atop the list with the largest share of channels at 12, while the United States follows with 8. Mexico holds 7, and Brazil rounds out the top four with 4. Japan, Turkey, and the United Kingdom each sit at 2. Australia, Belgium, China, Colombia, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Panama, The Philippines, Russia, and Spain each hold a smaller share, at 1.
YouTube Shorts is where a large portion of the activity comes from for the channels in the Top 50, with 38 of them falling into that category.
An Animated Series About the Sentinelese
The channel with the biggest recent gains traces its content back to a particular body of lore. The animated series Sentinels can be found on Jadu, which serves as the official YouTube home for Studio Jadu, the AI animation production company behind it.
The program draws upon the legend of the inhabitants of the North Sentinel Islands, a far-off group of isles situated within the Indian Ocean. Tribes on those islands continue to exist largely outside of contact with the wider world, as of 2026.
Jadu users rely on AI to shape how they share their stories, and the channel drew in 597,000 additional subscribers within its first week of September.
